Popular Post webfact
A GROUP of protesters tried to storm Pheu Thai Party headquarters today (Aug. 7) just as the leaders of both this and Bhumjaithai parties were announcing the latter joining a coalition government being forged by the former after which they blocked the gates to prevent them from leaving, Thai Rath newspaper said. The Thalu Wang protesters reached Pheu Thai’s head office at 5 p.m. and then proceeded to spray alcohol as a symbolic expression of the official work during the Covid-19 pandemic as the death toll reached 22,933 with Bhumjaithai leader Anutin Charnvirakul being the Public Health Minister. Once the press conference attended by Anutin, Bhumjaithai deputy leader Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn and secretary-general Saksayam Chidchob together with Pheu Thai leader Chonlanan Srikaew, deputy leader Phumtham Wechayachai and secretary-general Prasert Chanthararuangthong had ended, the protesters clashed with Pheu Thai security guards as they tried to break down the metal fence to enter the building but were pushed back. by TNR Staff Full story: https://thainewsroom.com/2023/08/07/protesters-block-pheu-thai-headquarters-leaders-stuck-inside/ -- © Copyright THAI NEWSROOM 2023-08-08 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post brommers
The all consuming PT quest for power will soon start consuming the party as supporters realise they have been betrayed. The old magical hold on millions of voters has been destroyed by the current leadership because they neither represent their constituents nor do they have any moral compass. The days of <deleted>awatra appealing to working class voters have gone and what is left are billionaires hungry for power at all costs. 11 1 2 2

I would love the see interviews or surveys of those voters, especially the red-shirts and farmers up country. Do they know what is happening? Do they care? Will they not vote for PT again? I hope they will learn. But then, they believed a billionaire was one of them, so I am not so sure they will learn now. 1

I hope so but I'm not optimistic. The facts have been there in plain sight for many years, but they don't seem to have noticed. Of course most of it is down to Thaksin, and he openly backed the army over justice for those killed in the 2010, the last time PT was in power because it suited his agenda. Expect Chang Mai and a few other places to go from red to orange. BJT may not be the full military but they were a major player int he last governemtn so it can be seen as a betrayal and you can bet MFP is going to paint it that way.
Popular Post mfd101
There were Red Shirt demonstrations against Pheu Thai's moves last week in Chiang Mai. Basically saying: We (Reds) are with MFP. One up for the books. 2 1

If there were half a million, they had shown Roof top OR Drone photo few kilometers away. Showing photos few meters away, you can figure how many were there. They may have been but were always (in my understanding) organizationally separate. The Reds were particularly strong in Isaan (not surprisingly given the benefits Thaksin had given to the rural poor), but Isaan split its votes in May last between PTP & MFP. Only manage to win 2 seats this election.
Partenavia
MFP had always expected it to take another 4 years to be in a position to form a government, last May's election result was to a certain degree a suprise for them as well. If they spend the next four years progressing the way they have so far, in theroy should be a landslide for them. However, those in "Power" now will no doubt realise this, and spend the interim period trying to take them down.
