Take the vendors and concrete posts carrying electric cables  off of the pavements / walkways then relay with non-slip paving .  In reality Pattaya is a xxxx hole that does not care for tourists but is interested in only how much money can be taken from them , be it corrupted police , lady boys , street vendors , bar girls , taxis , jet ski operators etc .

And still half of Thaivisa resides there. Strange huh?

Maybe the pavements that have been up for about 4 years can finally be fixed now - more likely to break an ankle than enjoy a holiday in Pattaya as a family

Come with the baby in the pushchair and granddad in the wheelchair and you are well and truly up s creek

That goes for the whole of Thailand. Not a good place for the young or old.

Sex tourism is not in “hard “ demand these days. Pornography killed sex tourism.

Still plenty of desperate mugs going there to pay for over priced prostitutes, who don't even like them ????

Including the owner, unless it's been sold by now

Pattaya? No thanks, there are far more interesting places in Thailand. Why should I go to a city with dirty beaches, full of faecalia? All dirty waters of the city end in the sea, without any clearing before.

Simplifying long stay visa requirements for retirees in embassies abroad,  would cost far less and yield far higher return then the millions n'billions spent locally.

They are overpriced? Have you done a survey or something or have predetermined them to be worth little?

The 'don't even like them' is somewhat redundant  don't you think?

Pattaya is a great, exciting beachside city.

We love Pattaya. :)

And also stop intervening in the foreign exchange rate. According to Chartchai Parasuk a noted Thai economist: The Bank of Thailand has spent $37 billion defending the baht over the past two and a half years. If not the baht could be at 45/$

They historically had a lot of foreign reserves to do that with.....

I personally do not think it would be that weak... if anything it is the traditional strong countries whose nations are debt ridden and should be much weaker.

Well October to April at least is not the Rainy Season, although from March onward, it certainly is Hot season.

I hope it is a great year during the Winter months, November to March.

How much longer will the Russians let Putin and their Republic leaders call the war in Ukraine

just a special operation. These war criminals, along with all the Generals should be in a jail.

I just hope that Jontien Beach is as friendly as always. My cousin lives there

I am sure it suits some , especially the 2 week millionaires . To live there ? not for me .

The pluses IMHO for Pattaya / Chonburi are 1/ some good hotels , 2/ some world class  golf clubs , 3/ the availability of western food in restaurants and shops , 4/ plenty of prostitutes , if that is what matters ,5/ some decent guys .  For sure I have had some fun there but no more than 2 weeks . But if that is what rocks your boat , so be it .

Great stretches of sandy beaches.

Great biking and walking trails.

Fantastic huge saunas and ice plunge pools.

Huge gym and aqua classes....and the list goes on. :)

Cannot agree on the local beaches that are highly polluted and rarely if ever tested . Often seen are used condoms and excrement floating in the water . Also be aware of rip tides and box jelly fish .

Like "Even more amazing Thailand"? Or "Amazing New Chapters"?

What about "Amazing New Driving Test"? Or "Amazing New Hassle Free Visas"? Or "Amazing New Corruption Free *****//==?

How about amazing and spectacular failure to re-invigorate the tourism industry, after two long years of sabotage, and cowardice?

dont you mean the internet? Pornography was around before sex tourism was a "thing" so was also there when the sex tourism industry began to boom, it's always been around even in Victorian times.

Maybe a footpath on soi Bukhaow to make it user friendly?

Agree , plus free from street vendors and concrete posts etc and no 1 foot drops to the road . I once saw a farang break his ankle at the top of 2nd road near Macdonalds . A tile was missing from the pavement and a 6 inch drop . More hazardous when walking at night . This goes for most of the towns / cities in Thailand , causing people to walk on the road .

Pattaya missed an opportunity during the covid pandemic to improve facilities for tourists and locals . EG. Part of Beach road , could have made a promenade and provided some seating . Installed public toilets . I am not advocating copying Spanish resorts but there are basic Western health & safety standards which are not used in Thailand . Often farangs get caught out because they are accustomed to Western standards . I include street food hygiene and beach h&s
