Popular Post webfact Posted August 15, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 15, 2023 In the theater of politics, where alliances are always shifting, we find ourselves at a crossroad, a juncture where choices made will forever echo in the annals of Thai history. As the Pheu Thai Party contemplates a strategic partnership with the Palang Pracharath Party and the pro-Prayut Chan-ocha Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, it risks more than just its identity — it risks its soul. It would be both remiss and disingenuous not to remember the roots of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party. For in its ranks are those who once wore the mantle of the PDRC, the very individuals responsible for the ousting of Thaksin Shinawatra’s sister, Yingluck. As one casts their memory back, the theatrics of the PDRC protest stage still echo with the vitriol and contempt hurled at the Shinawatra family. The sting of words, once spoken, cannot be unsaid, nor their scars forgotten. At the helm of the Palang Pracharath sits Prawit Wongsuwan, a man whose narrative seems to be painted with a single brush: the tarnishing of the Shinawatra legacy. For two decades, his efforts have been in dismantling the efforts and policies that Thaksin has spent his life building. It’s a dance of vendettas that stretches back years, a tango of political maneuverings and counter-maneuverings. by Cod Satrusayang Full story: https://www.thaienquirer.com/50428/the-crossroads-of-legacy-and-power-a-plea-to-the-pheu-thai-party/ -- © Copyright Thai Enquirer 2023-08-15 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Venom Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Obviously far safer for the children then Legos and they have a wonderful sent and taste to die for. Also, they do make a great little stocking stuffer once Christmas rolls around. ????????☠️RIP☠️ 3
smedly Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 hard to tell if PT are selling out or launching a devoius plan - one thing is for sure nothing is written in stone or in a contract, once in the door the parties with the majority of seats rule the roost not matter who supports who right now - I expect the junta side not to like what happens next........then what ? 1
Popular Post MrMojoRisin Posted August 15, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 15, 2023 It really is bizarre that Thaksin would align with those responsible for the political persecution of not just him, but also many members of his family, for two decades. What are the relatives of the dead from 2010 to think? Surely, logic (and decency), demands that Thaksin remain true to the original coalition, move to the opposition benches with MF and prepare for the inevitable early election. Hard to fathom why he would not take the opportunity to exert vengeance on those that drove him from his homeland that a crushing election victory by MF would deliver. I would suspect that there are still a great many twists and turns to play out in this farcical drama. Perhaps it still remains too early to settle on any final opinion about all of the involved players. 1 4
damian Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 It's not bizzare at all. It's been the plan all along and put in motion at the football in the UK. Tony wants to come home. Prawit is Tony's vehicle. Prawit wants to be PM. PT (Tony) is Prawit's vehicle. 2

All he wants to do is come home so as mentioned by other posters that means a deal, a big deal with the watch collector. Which means selling out the red shirts. But he never cared for them anyway, exhorting them on to fight and die whilst he sat in a luxury hotel in Paris. But where he and his family and PT may be misguided, to put it politely, is the backlash from their betrayal Tony imagines a parade through the streets of Bangkok with adoring followers casting flowers, but it may be angry ex PT supporters throwing burning red shirts at him, or even worse betrayal with the deal and Toni's stuck in the slammer. Already there's pressure from Bhumjaithai to change Settha to Thaksin's daughter Now what happens if the junta parties gang up on PT and demand certain ministries or they're pulling out? PT are in a bed of vipers and they did it to themselves. 3 2 1

PT are in a bed of vipers and they did it to themselves. They are Old Order. They are as redundant as their historical "rivals"........all playing the same game for years. None of them "got the memo". Many who contribute to these pages seem to have not got it either. Old Older game, Old Order players, Old Order spectators and critics. That game is coming to an end. 1 1

Popular Post Toolong Posted August 15, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 15, 2023 Well said. For my sins, I admit I once viewed Thaksin with mostly favourable regard, he being the head of the only political party - movement even - that offered the more progressive, transformative type of agenda. That said, I did at the same time keep a big chunk of cynical scepticism in reserve, in case he was in fact just what so many people said he was. (An oligarchic narcissist hustler) And so it is proven now beyond doubt that my faith in old squarehead was a house of cards. He is/was what they said he was. Though he may achieve that which he wants, which is simply gain of any kind for his benefit and his benefit alone, he's played a bad hand this time. The hand that will write the history books and not look kindly on him. He has....they have (PT)....run through the jungle in a kind of giddy panic to grab power of any kind and have fallen upon the sharpened bamboo stakes set long ago in ambush. But skewered to their fates maybe, they'll still enjoy that power for a while. The laundered flow of cash. Rake it in. Too intoxicated by it all to care for principles & integrity. Gotta give it to the Thai estab' machine..........they know how to hustle their way thru, now & forever. Subordinate not to democracy, nor any other perceived threat to their dominance. Dunno what else to say. ???? 1 1 1
