Popular Post snoop1130 Posted August 21, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted August 21, 2023 Former Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra will be arrested as soon as he lands tomorrow, August 22, according to officials who say outstanding arrest warrants and the result of convictions during his exile will be executed when he steps foot in Thailand. It’s the same day that a joint sitting of parliament will meet for the third time to elect a new Thai PM, led by the Pheu Thai party, the party where Thaksin is seen as the ‘spiritual leader’. Nation Thailand reports that there’s much speculation that officials from the Police and Corrections Department will be on hand to meet Thaksin’s private jet and will take him from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport to the Supreme Court. None of those inconveniences. It will already have been agreed. No handcuffs. No time spent in Police vehicle. No time in cells. Fast-tracked through ‘court’ with immediate ‘transfer’ and off back home or already agreed location. This lot are a law unto themselves. Military side of airport is secure and can be accessed from either DMK runway. There are helicopters in a secured area. What numbscull is putting this together. bamnutsak Posted August 22, 2023 Share Posted August 22, 2023 (edited) There are reports that he will be taken to the Supreme Court, where I assume he will be granted bail, and released perhaps with some limitations. Adjudication of his various sentences can come at a later date after he's held up his part of the deal. A Royal Pardon would come later after the initial buzz has died down. On FlightRadar 24, it landed and taxied to the end of the runway, stopped a few minutes, then two other private planes took off within minutes.
