The chili thing sounds interesting, and will have to give that a try.  Been looking locally for Lao Gan Ma Crispy Chilli in Oil, after watching a YT vid of someone making, seem a bit more than I want to do.  Have to buy online, as no plans on going to Hua Hin anytime soon.  See Tops carries it, but one in HH is small.  Not sure if Gourmet Markets would have.

 

 

Got some yesterday in Lotus, and I can tell you that it marries perfectly with my Peanut Butter on my home-made sourdough bread. Thanks for the hint.

I showed my Mrs the photo you posted, and she went to something very similar in Lotus, saying it was the same stuff. Will be trying it in my Satay Sauce next.

Arrived today, and damn tasty.  They ain't kiddin' when they say 'spicy crispy', and packed full of crispy onions.

 

May have to hide it from the wife.  Although, if I show her the vid, she'll have to make a batch, as no way will she be out done by store bought 

 

Well deserved after walking the dogs, and 30min on the rower

6 am. Coffee and a couple of slices of toasted sourdough with Rose's Lime marmalade.

 

8 am. Small bowl of Kellogg's All-bran with low-fat milk.

 

10 am. Big dump.

Rose's have stopped making their lime marmalade in the UK, and are making a rather less tart lemon-lime marmalade instead. I had to settle for ASDA lime marmalade in my recent food parcel.

 

 

There's lime spread made by Doi Kham that's available from the OTOP shops and farm stores that's quite decent though but (as usual) a bit too sweet.
