I've studied more than 5,000 near death experiences. My research has convinced me without a doubt that there's life after death.

I will promise you everlasting life. or a few virgins,

I have 'been with' a couple of virgins in my time, 3 actually, , and they weren't  near the top as the best experiences. Actually, I'm pretty sure that one of them was brain dead.

What's the difference between 'near death' and actual death?

Death.

Anyone who has watched someone deteriorate mentally due to dementia/Alzheimers would have to live in a fantasy world to think consciousness is anything other than biochemistry. We are to believe that someone so gone, who recognizes no one, who hasn't a clue if they're dead, alive or a turnip, and who eventually forgets how to swallow, at the instant of death becomes fully cognizant again and in the prime of life?

I fully accept that the life I have now is the one and only, and when my brain is starved for O2 and dies, everything that I am and ever was ends right there. Entropy wins. ALl the molecules that were me---including the ones that were part of the neurons that allowed me to enjoy, build memories, feel love and other emotions, get recycled into other bits of matter. That is what makes life so precious: it's finiteness.

How many partners a woman has doesn't matter as much as how much they love and care for you. A woman that has many will always look at her current man as the next one. One that has had a few but wasn't treated well enough to stay will look at the next man with hope. If he treats her right, she will bless him with attention. Learning by doing might seem to be the best choice, but it's desire to please that wins out. A virgin doesn't know anything at first, unless she watches porn, but she will learn from her man what he likes , and will respond if she's treated well. I've been with everything from beginners to nymphos, and it was always the ones who had just a couple partners that were the best. They weren't treated right, and they came through with good treatment.

I agree with the first paragraph, as my best friend now has dementia. He was a heavy drinker then fell and hit his head hard, and has since been in assisted living, with days out to visit relatives. He remembers us going fishing and everything else, but can't remember that I'm still in Thailand, and he knew I was when I moved here 6 years ago. He forgets things minutes later, and I feel so bad because I remember a very intelligent man that is now going away slowly.                                                                                        As far as the second paragraph of course being a Christian I believe we go on to Heaven if we believe. I feel for people who don't believe, because they might be living their lives as good people, treating others well, but not have a belief in God for whatever reason., and not go on to Heaven when it's their time.  I'm thinking, if you just can't bring yourself to believe there is a God from lack of evidence, and not from a bad experience or loss in life that turned you away, than why would it be hard to bring yourself to accept that everything had to be made and didn't just happen, that there had to be a Creator, and if there is, that his way is right? If you actually become a true believer, you will have a good place to go when you die. If there is no God, what will you lose? It will be nothingness as some believe and it won't matter anyway. If you choose to be an atheist, and when you die and come before Him, what will you say then? I don't doubt he exists, and knowing this life and all its <deleted> will end someday, believing there is a better place with no more pain is comforting.

Probably in hell though

Surely you are right. It’s curious that beautiful experiences like in paradise. Sensation of peace, light, heavenly souls, good and positives energies are told, but there are no experiences of visits to hell. Except the inferno of Dante ?

I thought I was but maybe it was actually a ladyperson.

It stopped me in my tracks. All my medical training told me you were either alive or dead. There was no in-between.

Can stop reading right here.

Of course there's an in-between.  It's called "dying."

Looks like somebody graduated bottom of their class.

Have you ever met her? Thought so.

Being a Christian, it was kinda hard to believe what I heard about her. Thought she was a saint also.  This is one I found that says otherwise. Not saying it's true, but who knows without research?.............https://www.vice.com/en/article/gvzebx/mother-teresa-was-kind-of-a-heartless-bitch

Seems fair enough to say there is life before birth so why not life after death?

There is assisted life through the umbilical cord to a viable fetus after 27 weeks, but come on. not comparable.

Death of the brain is permanent , you cannot save it by some type of man made umbilical cord.

oh that's easy..

Oh Omnipotent One, why did you let so many nameless children with no power of their own, suffer, be tortured horribly, starved, abused in every way and then have their lives ended horribly for almost all of human history?  You are omniscient, you felt all their pain and terrifying fear up until their very ending, and you watched silently, why?

You're the one with all knowledge.  You know all that was, and all that ever will be.  You designed the universe.  Out of all the possibilities, you specifically chose the one where I'd be an atheist.

So don't blame me.  It's your plan.

If anyone deserves to burn in hell, it's the guy that allegedly genocided an entire planet.  Who does that?  What were the sloths and the giraffes and the baby otters guilty of?

Well, of course not.  Neither does heaven.

We were playing what if.

Might as well have asked what I'd say if I came face to face with Bigfoot, or Elvis' alien clone, or a One-Eyed, One-Horned Flying Purple People Eater.

 But rebirth is possible.

If a virus or parasite can jump across species why can't a human spirit jump across bodies after you die?

https://news.uga.edu/parasitic-worms-in-dogs-cats-may-jump-into-people/

Parasites and worms exist in the real world.

You'd have to show some evidence of "spirits" before claiming they have the ability to hop between bodies.
