American Phone number

Featured Replies

Good evening-I need an American phone number for 2FA  while living in Thailand.Mt bank and credit card companies require it what is the cheapest and most reliable solution ? thanks

It depends on the particular company, but some will only send 2FA SMSs to "real" sim card-based numbers, not virtual numbers.

I use Skype my number. About 50 USD/year you can choose any area code you want. It works well for me with getting the codes. People stateside can call it just like a local call.

If you have an iPhone and an American sim, then you can set your phone on WiFi calling, then you will be able to make and receive calls and receive the codes via text. You may have to turn off the local cellular data with airplane mode on, and with WiFi on.

I use 'Vyke'. For $16 USD per ANNUM you can rent a USA virtual mobile number. Costs zero to receive calls and SMS. Outgoing calls and SMS very low cost. Runs ontop of your WiFi or mobile data connection. Has worked perfectly for me for over two years.

I use Google Voice. Texts are sent to phone and GMail account. Perfect for 2fa purposes.
