What are you paying for gas in San Diego right now???

What price are people paying in London, Paris, Tokyo, etc...?

The price of gas was lower pre-Covid in every country, and inflation was also much lower. What a coincidence! ????

Could it be that there is something like a global wholesale oil price, as well as global inflation?

Excuseism 101... pretty soon Joe will say building the wall was his idea... 555

every recent Dem president has put up barriers at key areas along the border.

Trump, however, wanted to build a coast-to-coast wall. Biden said he would stop Trump's wall, and instead is going back to previous tactics of building barriers where necessary.

Would this be the pot calling the kettle black.  Seems to me Joe was part of this administration that stood on its soap box touting economic stimulus and infrastructure spending.

Now was the money spent, sure.  However as Nobel Prize economist Milton Friedman said, the problem with government programs is that they are graded based on their intentions not their results.  Remember the catch phrase, roads, schools, and bridges.  Well the money was pissed away and the roads, schools, and bridges are still in disrepair.  Voters unfortunately only remember the promises not the actual performance.

Previous governments obviously didn't invest enough. However, how would roads, bridge etc... be, if Obama hadn't spent this (albeit insufficient) amount of money?

No, he didn't. He said, "not ONE MORE FOOT of wall" in the campaign. Even said it last week, "walls don't work".    But he HAS to spend the money..... tell me, what would happen if Joe refused to suspend 26 laws and refused to spend the money on wall construction? What is the penalty for that?

The Obama-Biden administration erected plenty of barriers along the border, so Joe obviously differentiates between prior walls and Trump's "Wall".

What is your point? That if there is no penalty it's OK to break the law?

Trump wanted to build an unnecessary wall. Biden was referring to Trump's wall, not the routine barriers such as those built before Trump.

But but but, Biden said walls don't work, so he must be referring to those Democrat built walls as well.

LOL.

Some mental gymnastics at work here. If Biden said black was white, seems some on here would agree.

Are you saying the wall being built is somewhere Trump didn't want it? More likely it's being built where Trump wanted it.

The fools and the ignorant will always spin the truth... it is really sad.

For instance, those claiming that Biden building a wall in certain specific locales is the same as Trump's plan to build a wall 1945 miles long.

As yes, that miserable term with 2% inflation, 3% unemployment, and two dollar gas....  hated it.

Seems like his GOP mates did also..................

Even Republicans admit who was responsible the huge increase to national debt and subsequent inflation…..

He should be on this stage tonight,” said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is attempting to establish himself as the leading Trump alternative despite recent struggles to break out from the rest of the pack. “He owes it to you to defend his record where they added US$7.8 trillion to the debt. That set the stage for the inflation we have now.”

AND…..Even hours before the debate began in Simi Valley, about 65km northwest of downtown Los Angeles, the first group of supporters for any campaign to arrive waved Trump flags and put up a banner reading “Trump, our last hope the big dope for America and the world”.
