Move Forward Party Secretary-General Chaithawat Tulathon has been tipped to become the new party leader, succeeding Pita Limjaroenrat who stepped down on September 15.

Pita is currently banned from performing his duties as an MP by the Constitutional Court, after the court accepted a petition to consider whether he held shares in a media outlet when he applied for electoral candidacy in the May 14th general election, which would be in violation of the Constitution.

The secretary-general’s post is likely to be taken over by Apichart Sirisunthorn, while Parit Wacharasindhu is expected to become the party’s spokesman.

Does anyone know what his background is? What has he accomplished in his life, before this position? I could not find anything on him online, other than his current position. Maybe he has no past history? Move Forward needs a very strong leader, if they want to be an effective opposition party. Is he up for the task?
