Popular Post Social Media Posted October 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 3, 2023 Former President Donald Trump has attacked a judge and prosecutor in a day of courtroom drama as he attended the opening of a fraud trial that could threaten his business empire. On entering the room on Monday dressed in a blue suit, Mr Trump - who turned up voluntarily - looked ahead as he walked past the prosecutor who brought the case. State's attorney general Letitia James, sitting in the front row, averted her gaze. Their paths did not cross for the rest of opening statements as both sides laid out their case. Mr Trump, the Trump Organization, several executives and two of his children - Donald Jr and Eric - are the defendants in the civil trial in New York Superior Court. Fact-checking Trump's claims about NY fraud trial They are accused of fraud, falsification of business records, issuing false financial statements and conspiracy. As the trial got under way, the former president occasionally glanced in the direction of Judge Arthur Engoron as he addressed the court. Moments beforehand, in a tirade outside court that echoed across the chamber, Mr Trump had called the judge a "rogue adjudicator". FULLL STORY 1 1 5

Trump's fraud claims by LJ began four and half years ago when he was still the President and way before he announced his 2024 bid. Judge that Trump maligned by calling him a rogue judge has already ruled that he committed fraud. Snow ball chance that the case will be dismissed but you can dream. 10 1 4 2

There will be more cases coming after this brought up by banks, insurers and the tax office as they are all a victims of his business fraud. 8 1 5 2 1

The point of the trial is to determine how much more he is going to lose. Reality check for you: either there is a grand conspiracy among prosecutors and judges nationwide to "get" Trump, Or.... Trump is a crook. Given his record, which do you think is the answer? 7 2 3 3

One of the prosecution witnesses gave testimony on papers from 2011, but a New York appellate court has ruled that only allegations from 2014 onwards can be used as evidence. The judge warned the witness about this, saying it was a waste of time to present papers from then, unless they could be related to later events. When Trump exited the court he jumped on this and came up with the "80% of charges have been vacated" line himself, even though no one else saw it that way. The MAGA brigade are getting excited over another piece of Trump fiction. Some of the MAGA sites and YouTube channels are reporting it, but not many. Some of the (to them serious) comments made as they get their hopes up are hilarious, but rather than encourage views on them I'll just link to this Daily Mail report on it: "Trump makes wild claim that 80% of fraud case could be THROWN OUT because statute of limitations has expired: President gives thumbs up in court - as judge slams prosecutors for a 'waste of time' for having accountants testify" https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12586351/Trump-makes-wild-claim-80-fraud-case-THROWN-statute-limitations-expired-President-gives-thumbs-court-judge-slams-prosecutors-waste-time-having-accountants-testify.html 2 1 2

Popular Post Danderman123 Posted October 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 3, 2023 Trump doxxed a court clerk, the judge issued a gag order for Trump, now Trump is playing with fire. It's rare when someone tells Trump he can't do something. This will not go well. Doxxing a court clerk is not part of any political campaign, BTW. 2 1 1 1

He probably has nothing to lose by going on the attack. I doubt the legal fraternity realised that Trump is not the usual subservient defendant that they can intimidate, and are somewhat unsure how to counter it. If they go too far with attempts to gag him his base will react in a way they "don't like", and if they do nothing he'll likely make their courts a mockery. I suspect the campaigners to get rid of Trump through the courts are somewhat aghast that Trump didn't just give up, and is actually gaining more support every time they come up with another legal attack. 3 8

I had to google doxxing Doxing (sometimes written as Doxxing) is the act of revealing identifying information about someone online, such as their real name, home address, workplace, phone, financial, and other personal information. That information is then circulated to the public — without the victim's permission. At this point does Trump have anything to lose by doing so? With 90+ charges against him, a few more will not matter, will they? 1 1 1

Yes, they could lock him up, but I'm pretty sure they realise what the political fallout would be if they did so. Seems they bit off a bit more than they can chew with this defendant. Meanwhile Trump just keeps getting more support every time he appears in court. 10

Popular Post Bkk Brian Posted October 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 3, 2023 Donnie just received a gag order, he just can't help himself............ On Tuesday, Mr Trump posted a picture of principal clerk Allison Greenfield with Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer at a campaign event. In the post, he called Ms Greenfield "Schumer's girlfriend" and said that the case against him should be dismissed. After a court break, Judge Engoron did not mention anyone by name but referenced the social media incident saying that a defendant "posted to a social media account a disparaging, untrue and personally identifying post about a member of my staff". "Personal attacks on members of my court staff are unacceptable, inappropriate and I will not tolerate them under any circumstances," he said. "Failure to abide by this order will result in serious sanctions," he said. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-67001699 5 1 1 1
