You can apply for renewal up to 3 months prior to the expiration of your current one. There is now an on line presentation that you have to view and correctly answer the questions therein before you proceed through to the issuing process. They'll give you the details at your DLT office.

 

Check in your local DLT office to see if they still have an appointment system. Some do, some don't.

If you are renewing a car and bike at the same time, do you need to watch the presentation twice?

The presentation is, as I said on line. You view it on your own device in you own time in advance of attending the DLT on renewal date.

 

If you get the answers right first time then you're good to go. If not you work through it again, paying a little more attention. I doubt if anyone has failed it.
