I see the UN created a partition with two states. The Jews accepted it. Multiple Arab countries immediately attacked.

and you didn't notice that partition increased in favor of the jews over the years with the palestines living in ghettos now?

Nothing prevented the Palestinians from accepting the Partition plan.

Just now, Lacrimas said:

the plan to have 2 million people live in the gaza ghetto? that would have been quite foolish to accept or perhaps they were deceived?

The Partition plan. As in 1947.

Offered a country and independence, they refused.

There were no two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip then, of course.

since the UN felt so generous why they didn't give them a piece of Germany? instead of an ancestral home inhabited only by muslims for centuries? OC they refused, accept a plan that involves giving others your home for nothing, what a great deal.

There was a partition plan offered. The Palestinian rejected it. This led to their current predicament.

They could have been pragmatic, build their state and take it from there. Could have even tried to attack Israel from a better position down the line and get it all. If, as you seem to imply, they went for all-or-nothing, then maybe they need to come to terms with the result of that choice.

Study some history before making ignorant comments or even just read this thread .

The Jewish Temple of David in Jerusalem was built by Jews over 3000 years ago and Jews have lived there constantly since then , Islam came along some 1600 years later .

lol and you didn't care about it for centuries btw the jews written history is gonna be a bit biased don't you think?

I wasn't even born centuries ago, so I suppose what you say is technically correct .

Although the Temple of David has always been the most (and only ) sacred site for Jews , the land was taken by various different peoples and Jews banished from their land .

Palestinians  are the latest peoples who want to banish Jews from their land and keep it for themselves .

THE UN welcomed Israel as a member 8 months after Israeli terrorists had murdered the UN mediator.

Rewarding terrorists with their own state, i.e creating a terrorist state, has proven to be not a good policy.

I noticed that the Arabs were offered states multiple times over the years, always rejected them, and always opted for violence. I think the greater Arab world refused to integrate the original 400,000 displaced Arabs and encouraged them to cling to the delusion that someday they would erase Israel creating eternal refugees. Do you think the Jews should have just committed suicide?

The original displaced Arabs not known as Palestinians back then were only about 400,000. Many of them were recent migrants from what are now OTHER countries such as Jordan. More recent than the Zionist pioneers.  When "Palestinians" for example moved to Lebanon after Israel was created, Lebanon stuck them in camps, never integrating them. Was that Israel's fault that the Arab would used them as pawns?

As far as two million in Gaza, how many of those people NOW have keys to houses back in Israel? Come on man, normal people MOVE ON.

Sounds like you're cherry picking a detail. Nobody is saying that Zionists were always angels either. But neither were the British colonialists ruling the Mandate. Such as when they turned away ships of Jewish refugees.

Yes, the Jewish people are indigenous to Israel. Most were indeed driven away and created a diaspora which exists to this day, although most in Europe were exterminated.

No. There were already Jews in the British Mandate. Zionist pioneers had been there already for many decades and they had bought (not stole) most of the original lands that they settled from Arabs.

Good that you recognize that Israel IS the ancestral land of the Jews.

So you would have wanted to stick the Jews in Germany of all places after the holocaust? That's perverted.

Also there was never a Palestinian state.

At the time Israel was created the area was a British mandate (much much larger) and before that a Turkish one (Ottoman Empire).

That's why the idea of Palestinian Arabs as a distinctive identity from Arabs say in Syria or Jordan didn't exist until Israel existed.

The mediator in question was Folke Bernadotte and he was assassinated after Israel came into being .

Israel the Country came first , Folke was then assassinated by the Lehi  gang .

After the Folke assassination, the Israeli Movement classified Lehi as a terror organisation and the group members were arrested and jailed .

The reality is rather different to the story that you told

Interesting.

I wasn't aware of that history before.

But at the end of the day, Israel did become a state, and the Arab world (plus Iran etc.) has been absurdly slow in simply ACCEPTING that geopolitical reality.
