Pattaya’s bustling Walking Street witnessed an unusual scene last night when an Israeli tourist was apprehended for causing disruption and stealing from a local convenience store. The man, whose identity remains confidential, admitted to having consumed cannabis beforehand, attributing his disorderly conduct to the stress induced by the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, coupled with the effects of the drug.

THE Ministry of Tourism and Sports said today (Oct. 10) the number of foreign tourists arriving in Thailand dropped week over week (Oct. 2-8, 2023 over Sep. 25-Oct. 1, 2023) especially those from China with their total plunging by 29.47%, TV Channel 7 said.

A GROUP of 11 Thai workers appealed for help via video conference with a reporter as they are stuck in the war zone near the Gaza border and can constantly hear gunfire and explosions from a battlefield just 10 kilometres away from their shelter, Sanook.com said today (Oct. 10).

Indian Man Arrested After 3,168 Days Visa Overstay in Thailand

On October 10, authorities in Uthai Thani, led by Police Captain Samruay Saman, apprehended Bangrat Kumar, a 38-year-old Indian national, for overstaying his visa. Kumar has been residing unlawfully in the Kingdom of Thailand since his permission to stay expired.

Hidden migrant workers in household goods truck foiled in Bangkok

The illegal transportation of migrant workers into Bangkok was recently foiled by highway police. A truck, which was seemingly moving household items, was intercepted, revealing nine Myanmar migrant workers hidden within the cargo. Investigations are underway to establish the full extent of this smuggling operation.

The Times of Israel reported today, October 11, that Israeli forces successfully rescued 30 people from the southern kibbutz of Ein Hashlosha, very close to Gaza. The group includes 16 Israelis and 14 Thais.
