A Thai man sought justice for himself after he was attacked and forced to pay an 8,000 baht debt to the loan sharks on behalf of his former employee.

A video of the victim, 50 year old Kan, subjected to a brutal assault by a group of 20 loan sharks was shared on Thai social media. The video shows a group of men attempting to enter Kan’s home in the northern province of Lampang, shouting vulgarities and daring Kan to confront them.

Kan and his staff urged the group to calm down but they did not stop and threatened to attack his family members.

Kan later gave an interview to Channel 3 saying that he had bruises and wounds all over his body and eventually had to hand over 8,000 baht to the loan shark gang. He did not borrow the money from them but a former employee did.

Obviously soon that will not happen anymore. As we know, the new government is now fighting local influential people who do such things. Soon all the bad guys will be in jail.

Or maybe not? Is it just elimination of the competition?

Loan sharks exist in Thailand everywhere. Everybody knows them and lots of people know who the rich people in the background are. And they get away with what they do because they are well integrated with the authorities. TiT.

They are using a deputy minister who has a history of gangsterism to do this.  He brought up his sons to carry guns everywhere and shoot at people in road rage incidents like another loving father in politics. One of the deputy ministers son's died when a road rage victim he was shooting at pulled out his own gun and shot him in the head. Great example but the government must believe it takes a gangster to know a gangster.

W*T*F is the Law/Cops doing about this hey.

They Know very well who the loansharks are but then some are their Work mates.

We might have to  call Big Joke to clean up this mess.

I like to do that but BJ is on a Leach now  and he can only do something if his Handler gives the OK.

I don't understand as in the Vid flashing red lights on a cop car, can be seen, why didn't the cops intervene then?

I'd lay money on the load mouthed one is an ex-cop.

Loan sharks are part of daily life here in Thailand plenty of people use them

Like a lot of scams in Thailand  they are not going away ????

What a place......could be the same for you if the wife borrows money!
