I was always the best dressed guy on the strip, and I never had trouble picking up the ladies. They always flocked to where I was seated. I moved to Thailand 13 years ago, and I like to think I am the best dressed farang in my city. Why would anyone want to dress "down" to blend in with these low-class farmers. I don't dress to impress others. I dress to please myself. It makes me feel good and gives a boost to my dignity and self-respect, so why not. Dress the way you like, and don't worry about what others think of you. Under Armour's are actually one of the few things that I have found here that works for me that don't get sweaty, stinky & sticky and looks decent. They are pretty pricey new though so I get them used whenever I can, especially the "heat gear" ones. OP lives in Patts so I'll hazard a guess and say he's taking about the disheveled foreigners - mostly Western European, Brit and Aussie farang - who infest the place. I saw one such example in Building A at Jomtien Immi a month ago when doing my TM47. Toenails like the claws of some hellspawn, cheap cargo shorts and singlet, and reeking of B.O. Other than it sounds like you have based yourself where people are being slobs. I was just in EmQuartier and Emporium and pretty much everyone was dressed smartly.
