The victim, an American woman, met the suspect, known only as Tim, through the Tinder app. After meeting at a bar, the suspect asked if he could stay at her place, to which she agreed, stating that there would be no sexual intercourse as she had to work in the morning.

I have to say that this lady was acting in a thouhtless way, but I understand some of the harsh comments that have been posted. However much to my surprise I have discovered as a single man that more ladies act in this way than I would have imagined.

 

While I was single and over the age of 45 at least five ladies suggested it and it happened, all wanting to share my bed just for sleep! The first was a lady from Singapore, a nurse, she was attractive with lively conversation skills, we liked each other but were not sexually attracted to each other. One evening at my house in the UK she had dropped in and we enjoyed sharing too much wine, she needed to drive about 30 minutes to get home on the M25 Motorway. I offered to let her use a folding bed that I had in my study. But she said that she would share my bed with me as she trusted me!

I reluctantly agreed, she was right, nothing happened except sleep.

 

Since I have lived in Thailed and had kicked my Thai wife out it has happenet with at least 4 Thai women, all nice people but no romantic flame burning at all between us.

 

I have written this post to support all others who have posted saying that men do not have to rape any females that fhey bump into.

Meet a guy once and invite him to stay with you overnight is bucking for a Darwin Award. Sometimes it makes sense to put limits on one's own freedoms.

 

There are many things I can do, within the law and as my right, but would choose not to do because it could come back to get me. For example, I could draw and publish a cartoon that might offend some members of a faith enough that they would do me extreme physical harm. I would be limiting my own freedom to refrain, but wisely so.

 

What the woman did does not make her responsible, but damn...why would she put herself in that situation. Naivete is not a crime, but it can have consequences. I guess she never watched "Looking for Mr Goodbar".

Sometimes, you really need to take responsibility for crass stupidity. 
I’ve had girls saying they just wanted to ‘use my toilet’ as a way of getting back to mine. Not that the restaurant we had just visited didn’t have one. Girls I met whilst travelling and visited them in their countries, would accidentally burst in whilst I was in the bathroom, feel me up whilst I pretended to be asleep… so many things I could tell. 
But at least I knew these girls for more than five minutes. Certainly not via a ‘hook up’ application.

It’s very unlikely that you’ll be accused of sexual assault unless you actually commit sexual assault. That said, your arrangement with your massage lady sounds like a safe bet all around.

I wonder if a Thai court would convict for this.  The defence will be saying what a slut she was taking a complete stranger she met on Tinder back to her condo which may only have one room at 2.00 am after having drinks with him.  What she claims she told him she wouldn't have sex with him as she had to work in the morning which implied she wanted to have sex with him on a future occasion and probably wouldn't mind, if they did it then anyway.  It was already 2.00 am. So she should have just told him she couldn't take him back because she had to work in the working. Call me for the return match when I don't have to work in the morning.  Goodnight.  If the guy says it was consentful or that he didn't do anything, the court may believe him. 

 

It is also possible that she asked him for money to help pay the rent or something and he did a wham bam and thank you mam.  

 

If she has a job in Thailand, I sure hope it isn't teaching young children.
