The president of the Pattaya Nightlife Business Association underscores the importance of strict adherence to the law after German media revealed the sale of child services in Thailand.

According to news reports, in a case where German nationals involved in the sale of child services were apprehended with bail set at one million baht, the association's president, Liza Hamilton, provided insights into the ongoing legal proceedings in Germany. The establishment implicated in the case has been ordered closed for five years since last year, reported Siam Rath.

The association's bar services have been actively involved in public awareness campaigns regarding child labor, conducting at least two outreach events monthly to educate business owners about legal obligations.

Addressing complaints related to services involving children from Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam, where flower-selling was a front for exploitation, authorities have been urged to take responsibility. The actions of foreign nationals engaging in services in Thailand, including those along the beach, have also come under scrutiny.

Mr. Sarawut, 34, owner of a bar near the incident site, assured that there had been no instances of children soliciting services in the vicinity previously. He highlighted increased vigilance by officials regarding identification cards for minors. Cooperation and constant communication between authorities and establishments have been established since the incident occurred.
