Popular Post webfact
Tourist police on Thursday night in the Nana area of Bangkok interacting with happy and smiling foreign tourists, including many women, who felt safe and secure in the famous, although somewhat notorious nightlife district, which is considered very safe and well policed. (Inset top left) Chinese social media influencer Zi Yu Wang from her video posted on Tuesday the 5th of December, which presented a distorted view of Nana. Chinese social media influencer, Zi Yu Wang, who entered Thailand on an exclusive Thai Privilege visa, faced possible deportation after being summoned over a Tik Tok video that distorted the facts about Bangkok’s vibrant Soi Nana nightlife area. In the end, Immigration Bureau officers charged and fined her for breaching a Royal decree on labour by carrying on a business in Thailand without a licence or work permit. It came after authorities cracked down on her alleged defamation, stirring debate on the balance between personal freedom of expression and protecting the country’s image. A Chinese social media influencer who came to Thailand to do a hatchet job on the kingdom’s foreign tourism industry, particularly Bangkok’s Nana nightlife district, has found herself summoned, charged, fined and warned off by Immigration Bureau police who informed her she could be facing potential deportation for breaching the kingdom’s strict labour laws. In the last 48 hours, smiling tourist police have been seen mingling with happy tourists, many of them grinning and cheerful Western women in the city’s somewhat notorious Nana nightlife area rebuffing distorted claims made by 28-year-old Ms Zi Yu Wang, a successful Tik Tok influencer, who entered Thailand on an exclusive and very expensive Thai Privilege long term visa. In what is being seen as a draconian move, Thai authorities moved this week to summon, charge and possibly blacklist the Chinese social media influencer on Tik Tok, Ms Zi Yu Wang, who arrived in the country on November 2nd last using the exclusive ‘Thai Privilege’ long term visa and was in the country legally. by Joseph O' Connor Full story: Thai Examiner 2023-12-09 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post webfact
Chinese Woman Facing Deportation and Blacklisting Following Outrage over Viral Video at Soi Nana in Bangkok By Adam Judd Bangkok – A Chinese woman faces legal action after the Royal Thai Immigration found that she was selling online products without a work permit following a Livestream that outraged netizens in Soi Nana in Bangkok. The Royal Thai Immigration revealed to a press conference on Friday (December 8th) that they had fully questioned a woman they identified only as Ms. Wang, a Chinese national. She had entered Thailand via a Thai Privilege Card and stayed at a luxury residence. She admitted to Immigration that she had live streamed a controversial clip at Soi Nana in Bangkok. However, she claimed she did not mean to damage Thailand. She just wanted to warn women where they should be aware of when travelling alone, according to her. The controversial clip showed the Chinese woman standing in what some netizens said was a provocative outfit in the middle of Soi Nana, a popular adult nightlife entertainment district in Bangkok, and claiming that 99 percent of people visiting the area were bad people and lambasting and insulting foreign men who approached her or were seen on camera in the area, said Thai Immigration. She also claimed in the clip, without proof, that Soi Nana was dangerous for women. The clip went viral, angering many Thais, and leading to her being interviewed and detained, which is when police found she was also selling products through livestreaming. Do you have any exemple of a female tourist having troubles in Nana? Of course not! The area is safe, I don't particularly like thais authorities but the chinese lady is lying. And Bangkok and Nana or Patpobg is ten thousand time safer than any place in France, the country where I'm living. I'm not joking. Paris is dangerous for both women and men and in any area. Even small towns and villages are dangerous today. 11 6 2 2

Popular Post Homburg
Soi Nana is not safe for women OR for men. As in the whole of the rest of Thailand the biggest danger to women, and men, in Soi Nana is the traffic. You take your life in your hands every time you cross the street anywhere in LOS. That said, Soi Nana is rather less dangerous than the "pedestrian" crossing on Sukhumvit between Soi Nana and Soi 3, which has lights for the pedestrians, but none for vehicles on the westbound carriageway! 1 1

Only confirming to her fans and many more potential Chinese tourists, Thailand is an unsafe place to visit. That's a winner. Popular Post Sydebolle
The bottle neck is always on top of the bottle. If Thailand is serious (and it is not), then clean out interior ministry. In a normal state, the police and army is there to protect the state, police internally and army externally. Both follow the marching orders of the government and its interior minister, the government follows the marching orders of its "shareholders" - the voters. Not so in Thailand where the army and the police tell the rest of the semi-divines what to do and what the going rates are. Once in a while the overcomplicated bureaucracy, so utterly enjoyed and kept alive by the two "protective" forces, burps up as Khon Thai to this day does not know, how other cultures, races or religions work. Throw this influencer out of Thailand for good - good riddance as they say. But then start cleaning from top, if you are serious. And as we all know, that nobody is serious about it (at least for the time being), it will be business as usual and nobody talks about this absolute irrelevant incident in a short while. Nana is not known for its prayer halls, Pattaya is not known for its second-hand-bookshops. The latter suggests to legalize prostitution, keep the bureaucracy to an absolute minimum and get the government to take out its ever-nosey face out of the private market industry as much as possible and rather concentrate on what is more relevant. On the subject of Nana, all this kitchen waste of all those street kitchens ending up in the gutters at the beginning of Soi 4, the placing of all those kitchens forcing pedestrian onto the street etc. could be a possible start. In closing, nothing will happen as the sweetheart holds Chinese citizenship and the present array of government goons must avoid anything possible to upset the red brethren in the North. In short "next please" - your call! 1 1 2 2
