Popular Post snoop1130
BANGKOK (NNT) - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has set a revenue target of 3.5 trillion baht for 2024, with 2.5 trillion baht expected from international tourists and 1 trillion baht from domestic tourism. Announcing plans to enhance tourism quality and promote sustainable practices, TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said efforts will include boosting tourism in secondary cities and reducing dependence on any single market, adding that the agency’s upcoming "365 Days, Marvellous Thailand Every Day” campaign is expected to encourage more frequent and diverse domestic travel. According to Thapanee, collaboration with the Thai Chamber of Commerce will also help elevate 10 secondary cities, building on the 73.32 million domestic tourist visits in the first 9 months of 2023 that generated 169.608 billion baht. For international tourism, TAT’s strategies focus on sustainable branding, new market exploration, partnerships, transportation connectivity, and digital marketing. A key goal is the resurgence of Chinese tourists, targeting 8.2 million arrivals in 2024. Despite the focus on China, TAT is also diversifying its approach by targeting markets like Malaysia, India, Russia, Taiwan, and emerging markets such as Saudi Arabia and Southeast Asian countries. That would have to be the biggest fool... There's a reason why, in the article, the numbers for this year are left out on purpose. By my calculation, considering earlier published numbers (27 million tourists × 50,000 baht), the income from international tourists cannot be much more than 1.3 trillion baht. - How to they plan to (almost) triple that income next year; by raising hotel and restaurant prices, etc., by 200% for the "dirty falang"? - No way that they will be able to attract, say, 50 million extra tourists to get to 3.5 trillion baht! Neither from China, nor anywhere else...

I believe they referred to tourism overall rather than just international tourism. 1

Popular Post Scouse123
It really is an obsession with them all to continuously talk about money, even other peoples. It consumes them. You can never capture their attention for more than 10 seconds, but you start looking at lottery tickets from a vendor, you'll have a crowd around you in seconds giving advice and helping you choose your numbers. As soon as they see a new phone or car, the first thing out of their mouths isn't 'That's a nice car or phone '................. It is 'How much? ' Not only that, but it's as bad as their fascination with uniforms, everybody from the car park attendant to the neighbour's cat are dressed up like Admirals-of-the-Fleet. What is it all about. They are weird. 2 1

neeray
Targets are dreams. Projections are futile. As a banker would say to a business owner, "these projections are only your anticipation". Correct ! 1
