Evidently it hasn't helped you much. Always comical when people think they are more clever than they actually are. Loads of them on here.

I am just having a bit of fun, usually I find Oz guys are up for it.

In the last few years quite a few of them have learned to read and write and are getting quite active on the Forum!

It is just a pity that many of them failed to learn comprehension and understanding at the same time!

New posters who do actually live here and have knowledge to share yes...... dickheads sat in Wolllogong nursing and anti Brit bias for some reason, we can do without.

Got it. In order to discuss boom boom one must be in Thailand and have bad teeth. 😃

And not the type to resort to stereotype insulting rather than adding to the topic!

As a retired police officer, with 23 years in the job in a fairly violent city in the US, I am often floored by the lackadaisical tactical  approaches these Thai officers take with clearly unhinged individuals. Yeah, this guy was a bloated, drunk p.o.s, but to just laugh and hold him at bay with your clipboard as he rants a mere foot away from you? That cavalier attitude only works…until it doesn’t, and your colleagues are visiting your widow’s house with hats in hand. It serves no one.

It might well be handled in a similar way in the UK, trying not to 'escalate'. Also, it looks like/seems obvious that he's not carrying any knives or firearms etc.

I do actually understand why policing in the US has to be as it is though.

Aussies don't like Brits because of their massive inferiority complex.

22 million people in Oz and you think you can some them all up in one sentence....do you not think you are over-stereotyping  a little?

I think advice from the US police is the last thing any police force needs.

Depends what kind of country it is. American-style policing would probably work well in Latin America, Honduras, Brazil etc, but probably not in many European countries.

You don't seem to realise that you are talking about the type of countries that already do have US style policing. Often set up with US help ...just look at the mess and put 2 and 2 together

Bit of perspective for the Australian police shootings.

In 2022-23, Queensland police shot 14 people, New South Wales police shot eight, one person was shot in Victoria, one in South Australia, and two in Western Australia.

Across Australia, around a third of the people shot by police survived.

More than 600 people are killed by law enforcement in the U.S. each year.

Total shot in the US 1243

Love to hear this Bloks version of the Thai’s drivers escapades!

Yes he is, and he handled it brilliantly. He is armed, he didn't draw his weapon, he realised this drunken fat man is not a danger and handled it accordingly. Hats off.

Fortunately, we don't see many of those around Pattaya nowadays. Evidently they're skint, ghey, or just w@nking to porn in their council estates. The fat old drunks have seemingly replaced them.

It was no 'accident.'   Try 'Collided with,' or 'crashed into' or even 'hit the other pickup.'

This must be the Brits push to reach the top of being an arse and bad behavior, as Russians have done their best to move in on that territory. :cheesy:

Can only feel sorry for his wife, that have to live with such unintelligent entity.

Upon reading the headline I opened this thread just knowing yours would be one of the first comments to 'hit out at Brits'...

A true wet-dream for you....

The Brit of course in the topic is an absolute grade A1 ayhole of course - no doubt about that - but your propensity to tar all with the same brush is bigoted and tiresome.

The police here tend to be quite patient and reasonable with unruly guys like this creep. They seem to find some amusement with someone making an absolute fool of themselves and behaving like a goon.

Hopefully he pays some sort of price for this. You never get physically aggressive with cops. Just not a wise thing to do. Anywhere.

Agreed....    While the Thai Police to face a huge degree of criticism for many of their actions (or rather inaction), they lack of over-reaction in these and similar situations is de-escalating and their patience, especially when armed is commendable.
