Having never played or watched a game of chess in my life, I was initially uninterested in the series:

The Queen's Gambit (TV Mini Series 2020) - IMDb 8.5/10.

However, after four years I finally got around to binge-watching the entire series and I have to say it's a worthwhile must-watch for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

I also passed on TQG but now I'll gave a look at it. Thanks @LosLobo

Just finished The Count of Monte-Christo, a French remake of the famous Dumas novel. It's quite well done, great acting all around, particularly by the actor playing Edmond Dante. At almost 3 hours, it's quite long but never gets boring. I got it at TGX and it was a fairly fast download.

What a great book!

Watched it when it first came out, very good! You don't have to be in to chess to enjoy it.

Matlock is worth a watch with Kathy Bates (Misery) as the lead.

The latest series (5) of All Creatures Great and Small is it's usual warming tales of vets in Yorkshire around WW2.

"The BBC has released a new seven-part natural history series, “Asia,” narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough. This groundbreaking series explores the incredible diversity of wildlife and landscapes across Asia, the world’s largest and most populous continent." - Brilliant as always.

I am a bit of a Beatles buff, I would say 2/3rds of this has been on YouTube in some form over the years, like the clips from concerts ,nothing really new except the interviews with other artists like Smokey Robinson.

Nice to see it all as a complete story

It did bring back a lot of memories though. Beatlemania is something that's never going to be duplicated.

Does anyone have a decent link for Mocro Maffia series 3 with Eng subs?

The first 2 seasons had hard coded subs that were brilliant.

The subs for season 3 were dreadful.

Pretty much unwatchable.

TIA.

Earth Abides. One of the worst first episodes of a TV series I have ever seen. Totally unlikable main actor, boring beyond belief where nothing happens.

While serving as a juror in a high-profile murder trial, a family man finds himself struggling with a serious moral dilemma, one he could use to sway the jury verdict and potentially convict or free the wrong killer.

Clint Eastwood still directing at 94.
What a legend.

Black Doves

New one out this week.

Getting some decent reviews.

Dalgliesh--- Season 3---Ch 5---Crime 6 episodes  IMDB  7.6       Release dates all over the place  (Dec 1/5/11/12/18/19)

1970s Policeman & his E type Jag    first 2 seasons were good. If you have not seen season 1 & 2 - its still on PB  &   EZTV

Blurb-Follows Dalgliesh's crime-fighting career from 1970s England to the present day.- it was truly excellent. Did not expect such quality drama on 5   The acting from all members of case is of the highest standards with some very promising new faces

Following the list of the worst 10 war movies ever made, I came across another site which listed the 10 worst movies ever made (not war movies) and thought I would download and watch, "The Alamo" (2004 version) because from what I can remember it wasn't at all bad.

So I watched it last night and, it wasn't at all bad, nothing spectacular, but okay to pass the time after watching the Match of the Day on BBC iPlayer!

Thanks for the heads up @oxo1947. I enjoyed seasons 1-2 and expect season 3 to be equally as good.
