I decided to download some of the "Cheers" episodes and specifically looked for those with Kirsty Alley in them, as I thought she was better than Shelley Long (IMO).

I managed to locate them on 1337.x.to and have been chuckling about the few I watched so far, so I'm pleased that I downloaded them – – the one-liners and quick wit and repartee are delightful. Many more to watch.

I don't post much but had to say Norm is my hero.  I love Cheers!

It is like the UK version of "Men behaving badly" I could watch those shows every day.

What about one of the versions of A Christmas Carol?

A Christmas Carol;   2009 version with Jim Carrey,  Gary Oldman, Colin Firth

or

A Christmas Carol 1984 Stars George C. Scott, Frank Finlay, Angela Pleasence

or my favorite:

A Christmas Carol;1951   Stars  Alastair Sim, Jack Warner, Kathleen Harrison

or

It's a Wonderful Life  1946  with  James Stewart  Donna Reed  Lionel Barrymore

yes, Alastair Sim attained immortality through this version....

Thanks for the Heads Up on Conclave as I really enjoyed it, and the ending was totally unexpected and even then it had a few twists and turns. IMO a good movie and it touches on/explores issues at the very heart of the Catholic faith in various ways.....thought provoking.

Watched Boardwalk empire s01 again. Fortunately I've forgotten most of it.

But can't locate S02 that's of a sensible size.

If anyone has a link to a file around 5Gb, please pm me.

Maybe I'm going crazy, but I seem to have a hard time lately finding movies to watch that aren't totally stupid. Ditto for some of the TV series.  Every once in a while, I find a true gem, but that's not too often.

This one is good: True Romance, from 1993.  If you haven't seen it, watch it.

I can't seem to post a link that works.

Also good:  Dusk til Dawn, by Tarantino

True Romance is worth watching just for Gary Oldman playing a pimp!

ducation's Aimee Lou Wood, this new BBC series is described as a "classic odd couple comedy about two funny, deeply flawed characters who just happen to be father and daughter".

I'm hoping Night Manager Season 2 will work. The original season was the perfect mini series and ended spectacularly well.

I always worry when something so great is brought back I hope the story isn't too contrived

Will Roper be back? We all assumed he was going to be killed after that last scene in the paddy wagon

Because you’re a fan of Red Dwarf, Every time I see you posting, reminds me of a Kiwi friend of mine who was a Film goof buff---he would always write to IMDB etc. about how this guy had the watch on his left hand but was on his right when he walked back in the room---ete  etc ..  He was Jewish so he thought Space balls was hilarious because Mel Brooks (also Jewish) replaces the words---"May the force be with” you to “May the Schwartz  be with you” –Schwartz is (was) Jewish for the “N”  word—of course now google have soften it down to explain it just means a very Dark skinned or black person.

He made up a list for a TV movie magazine once with 15 words that Writers/Directors had added in just to F-*K –with the public I guess---they wouldn’t print it.   Anyway, I saw it- & Red Dwarf was one, with Listers constant- Smeging hell--Smeg this and Smeg that,  about every third sentence….smeg is an abbreviation for smegma—doctors especially just use Smeg .

Anyway it was great Series….

What is Smegma?     https://www.webmd.com/sex/what-is-smegma

what is a good website to stream movies from? The one I have been using for years has now got so much buffering

Seems like we are in the minority when it comes to streaming.

I have used many in the past ( tinyzone, fmovies, hdtoday, etc ) which all ended up dying after a while, fmovies lasted a few years.

Currently using sflix2.to which also appeared to be dying ( excess buffering ) a few days ago but now has been resuscitated !!

I watched a movie last night which I thought I might have seen before, but in retrospect I don't think I had (don't forget I've got memory problems after my accident!).

The movie was a Western, called "Hostiles" and starred Rosamund Pike and Christian Bale and it made for a good evening's entertainment and was enjoyable.
