Non-O visa in Vientiane, need proof of deposit ?

Hi everybody. Do I need to bring a proof of 400.000 bahts in a bank account for apply a non-O visa for Thai family in Vientiane ?

At the moment, no such requirement is listed on the relevant page on the website of the Thai embassy in Vientiane, but let's hear from people who recently got this type of visa there.
