Pattaya-Bangkok bus ticket

Featured Replies

Absolutely no point in booking online, as I found out.

Thought I was being clever, booked the 12 noon bus, got to north Pattaya bus station about 20 mins to 12, turns out you still have to get in the queue (which was long)at the window, wait while the person scans your ticket, then look for you on the list to tick you off, I asked for a window as usual, and never got it.

I just made the bus in time.

Waste of time booking a seat with busonlineticket, get there 40 mins before you want to travel is fine this time of year

Not entirely a waste of time as it guarantees you a seat on the bus you have booked.  If you wait until you get there and join the queue to buy a ticket it could sell out before you reach the front of the queue.

It was a waste of 24 baht booking fee however as it could have been booked direct with Roong Reaung for 141 baht all in.  You would still have to queue at the desk to get the "real" ticket.

Thanks, just an update, I just came back to Pattaya, they now have a dedicated window at each station, so you don't have to queue ,must have been just starting when I went a while ago

There are the bus depart every 30 minutes from Bangkok to Pattaya. Normally you don't need advance booking except for the long weekend. From Bangkok you can take the bus at Minibus Station Chatuchak (Opposite Morchit Chatuchak Bus Station). For checking timetables and ticket price I would recommend https://www.busx.com , Current ticket price is 150 THB from Bangkok to Pattaya.
