I only reflect on the hopes and fears of lifelong Russian friends, not mine, not bias selected media.

You might look at your own motives. A few posters simply run on high octane anti Western fuel, and even Russian propaganda.

I don't have "motives" but will occasionally point out the hypocrisy and contradictions of the Western media apparatus and its followers.

Again, multiple sources and statistical analyses confirm that the vast majority of Russians support Putin and will very likely give him a landslide victory in the upcoming elections.

It is not up to us Westerners, with our societies failing on every metric, to decide whether it is good or not in the name of our "values".

There is no "colour revolution" there against Putin, as much as our leaders would love to see it happen.

The media will only ever present and spin events according to what suits a political agenda.

Added bonus about the "hero" Navalny, this might give you some depth, context and insight:

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/2/25/navalny-has-the-kremlin-foe-moved-on-from-his-nationalist-past

In a 2007 pro-gun rights video, Navalny presents himself as a “certified nationalist” who wants to exterminate “flies and cockroaches” – while bearded Muslim men appear in cutaways.

[...]

Shortly before releasing the video, Navalny was kicked out of Yabloko, Russia’s oldest liberal democratic party, for his “nationalist views” and participation in the Russian March, an annual rally of thousands of far-right nationalists, monarchists and white supremacists.

[...]

Some protesters sported closely cropped hair and raised their hands in a Nazi salute.

Who fought against Russia in WWII ?

I think Ukraine is governed by USA/NATO  seeing as they are paying for everything.

Why does the Azov battalion still exists ?

It's been a long time since WW2 😀

So currently not governed by Nazis. So Putin is lying?

Sure! They support Putin. And that's why he regularly jails his political opponents (when he doesn't kill them 😀).

White nationalist Navalny was jailed because he was a convicted crook.

A bit of context:

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1201958/attitude-toward-activity-of-alexei-navalny-by-age-russia/

Most Russians in every age group did not approve of the political activity of Alexei Navalny, the Russian opposition leader, as of February 2022.

Thank God those poor, misguided Russians have us Westerners to fight for their rights and freedoms! It is to laugh, honestly.

Wrong.

Again. Do you know the source of the survey data that concluded no one liked Navalny?

The most prominent source is the Levada Center, considered a foreign agent by the Russian government and approved by the West and the CFR, so hardly a vector of "Russian propaganda" as I suspect that is what you are hinting at (a couple of references below, including a Wikipedia one, which I believe is a source you like).

THE CASE OF ALEXEY NAVALNY
Compared to July 2021, the level of approval of Alexei Navalny’s activities has hardly changed: 14% approve, 60% disapprove, another 14% do not know Alexei Navalny or have not heard of him.

https://www.levada.ru/en/2022/03/16/the-case-of-alexey-navalny/

VTsIOM became widely respected for its objectivity and professionalism among academics and journalists in both the Soviet Union and the West. In the 1990s, the agency's polls gained a reputation for being very reliable.

Didn't say that. Statistica is asking for a membership before revealing the source. I thought you would know.

Why it matters.  Russian's have lived in fear of speaking their mind for a hundred years. It's worse under window man Putin. A random phone call from nowhere won't get an honest answer. You will only get the official state line.

Russians I've known 20+ years will never talk about Putin politics over the phone if they are calling from inside Russia. You think they would answer a random unknown call and say "Yeah, love Navalny, great guy"?

You are implying the Kremlin taps ordinary Russian citizens' phones in a Stasi-type approach. There is no evidence of that at all and you are going to excessive lengths to defend your point, you are not being reasonable.

"Fascism  is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition"

So on what end of the political spectrum would you say Navalny tends to be, based on his numerous far right and xenophobic statements?

In videos from 2007, Navalny likened militants in Chechnya to cockroaches and espoused deporting migrants, saying, "We have the right to be Russian in Russia and we will defend that right."

1. Isn't the information from the media about Navalny controlled by the government?

2. Do people feel secure enough to give their real opinion on Putin or Navalny?

Why don't you base it on his current activities and not some 20 year old episode?

Well near current, seeing Putin just killed him.

You mean turn a blind eye to the fact that he is a radical Russian supremacist, who called Georgians "rodents", non-white immigrants "cockroaches" and Ukrainians by the ethnic slur "khohols", in addition to being a multiple-convicted crook (c.f. previously posted sources), so he can fit into the very narrow window the Western establishment wants to show him through?

Allow me to laugh.

The Russian people are not children and don't need Western intervention to "save" them.

There are no fair elections in Russia, and Russian opponents (who are not children) are jailed. The media are controlled by the government, as well as the Justice system.

... Says the Western media and political establishment, whose lies and contradictions I have extensively demonstrated in this thread.
