Every year, I wait for it....

I wait for the first waft of very heavy smoke to usurer in the great smoking season of Chiang Mai.

 

One never knows exactly when it will come.

But, come it will, as it does every year.

 

This morning, at about 05:25, the street lamps became misty.

 

And, once again, I smelled the smell of burning stubble, just at I have every year, for many years.

 

Unlike you, perhaps, I look forward to this smell of burning stubble.

 

 

So, anyway, from now until about the end of May....

The air quality here will probably just continue to deteriorate.

 

And, this is perfectly fine with me.

 

After all, I did not come here to enjoy clean air.

If I had wanted to enjoy balmy air, then I would have chosen American Samoa, maybe....

 

This is why I never complain about the air quality here in Thailand.

 

Bring it on, I say!

I have always loved Erroll Garner, but....this is NOT his best.....

 

Still, then, what can you expect...in all this SMOKE?

And, when the smoke comes rolling in to where you live, as it surely will, then you might enjoy something like this, while cooped up, with windows taped shut, inside your abode...

 

 

Pat Benatar was good back in her day, Love is a Battlefield especially… which is what CM is from now till May/June. Horrible. No place for kids and oldies.
