The timeline makes no difference. Trumps surrender in Afghanistan handed the farm back to the terrorist Taliban and appeased Putin by doing so. Had he not done so we'd have a military base on Iran's doorstep right now. And millions of Afghan women would get an education.

Surrendered Afghanistan ?  About 20 years too late. Had the army rangers got Osama bin laden instead of contracting the task to the locals. Then let them have their 12th century country. Could have a military base and Afghan women getting an education????. And when does the good fairy arrive.?? So it was a waste of about a trillion not accomplishing that in 20 years but because Trump bailed that 20 years is his fault??? Unbelievable,! And Trump is going  to pull the plug on that Ukraine - now not in 20 years

Osama Bin Laden wasn't Afghani and nor was he killed in Afghanistan. Did Americans want to invade Iraq?  GW Bush Cheney and Rumsfeld did because "he tried to kill my daddy" and told lies to justify it.

 

How many Americans died in Ukraine last year? Do most Americans want Russia defeated? (The answer is yes). Is it better that Ukrainians fight Russia now or that Europe fight them later, assuming Trump wins?

The US is part of NATO and the threat of Russian expansionism into NATO countries and aspiring NATO countries is very real. The US national interest is served by preventing Russia from invasion of peaceful countries and expansionism by force.
