Popular Post Banana7
Finally Pattaya Police are starting to fine and remove illegally parked vehicles. This is one of most popular places they love chaining the vehicles together then hauling them away a few at a time. No parking in the red bus stop areas! Location is beach road just south of the Hilton. 2

They would stop in the designated zones but these zones are 99% occupied by illegally parked vehicles.

And we all know it's illegal to park on that side of the road, causing traffic congestion. Why aren't the cops locking those vehicles and towing them away?

They have made many parks available on beach side of beach road. Made specifically for parking there in fact. What are you going on about?

I can't keep track of it.... parking was allowed during Covid, then no parking re-introduced, followed by many complaints from the beach operators. At that time tourism was still very dependent on locals so they were lenient. Police seem to have an easy attitude lately! Whole town looks like a parking lot..... ezzra
What really pisses one off is to see baht busses and vans double parking on a narrow roads or alleys or where road repairs are going on blocking traffic with impunity, and the most amazing thing that there isn't a cop in sight... 1

Well there is that, and also the shaven headed falang double parking in front of a 7-11. What ya gonna do (tow a few away is my idea!)

They could certainly do with a few around, the bad driving extends beyond bad parking too. Crossing the road in North Pattaya, even with light operated crossings is bad.. as I saw a few nights ago,

If they don't see the issue of too much traffic in town yet the place may be a lost cause.

Took photos on Sunday and today Monday, exactly the same location as the original post. Both days, the red painted bus stop zone was fully occupied by motor vehicles. Pattaya Police are are certainly bypass a cash cow. They should have at least 3 teams out there with chains and tow trucks 12 hours a day, nabbing the illegal parkers and helping traffic to keep moving. They could clean-out this one area about 3 or 4 times every day, getting 20 bikes a round. Edited February 26 by Banana7
