Should I get a visa for six months or just one month visa waiver ?

Thing is I was told I have to go out the country after two months so instead of trekking to London staying two days for process should I just get on a plane and when one month is up then go to Malaysia and apply for another two months visa?

Whitethai, you should get a tourist visa valid for two or three entries. You don’t have to travel to London for this; you can apply for it by mail, not necessarily at the overworked Thai consulate in London but at an honorary Thai consulate.

Question is is it less ...

“Hassle” is relative. If you like to travel to Malaysia for a few days and don’t mind the expense, it is no hassle. Just be sure to buy your ticket from Thailand to Malaysia already before you leave the UK as otherwise the airline may not let you board the plane in the UK.
