Popular Post webfact
Phuket –A Phuket motorbike taxi rider allegedly sexually assaulted a female German passenger. The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express that a 37-year-old female German tourist filed a report to the Phuket City Police at 4:26 A.M. on Monday (February 26th) morning. The German tourist told police that she was walking alone in the Phuket Old Town when at 0:45 A.M. she got on a motorbike taxi heading to a hotel in Rassada, Mueang Phuket. The male taxi rider even called the hotel to ask for the hotel’s exact location. According to the tourist, along the way the taxi rider asked the German tourist’s name before suddenly kissing her cheek without warning. He also allegedly touched her genitals and took her hand to touch his own genitals. The German tourist pulled her hand back before jumping off from the taxi motorbike, slightly injuring herself in the process. We don't know the full story, as usual Thai reporting leaves out some important details, if you actually live in Thailand, then you should know, and not make such comments. 2
Nemesis7
In deed a sad incident . And it surely should have taken place . And I’m sure there are many such incidents are not even reported. Better be careful, especially at night

Bangkok Barry
The fact that the police have his phone number reminds me of the time I managed a record shop and my security caught someone shoplifting. He'd earlier given me his address when he ordered a record. I'd add that getting an address was company policy but made no sense, and some justifiably refused to give it. He also assaulted me when I gave chase, and we were in court on the Monday where he was fined for that as well.

Or, perhaps you meant "shouldn't" have. Serious question.
Cabradelmar
Not at all surprised. In addition to Thai men being emotionally reactive, they also lack self control. 1 1

Why do people think just because they are in a different country, they can do things they would not do at home? I do not condone sexual assault, BUT I have to ask what the hell a woman by herself is doing walking the streets of Phuket by herself at 1 in the morning. Also, what condition was she in? If this was a guy getting mugged we would simply say he should not be wandering around drunk at that hour by himself. 2 1 2 2

In a perfect world, I'd be safe walking down the street with $100 bills hanging out of my pockets, at any hour day or night. In that world, I could leave my car running to keep the A/C cold while I'm inside a restaurant eating, and I could sleep with both my front and back doors wide open for that nice cross breeze. But in the real world, those would be invitations to victimize me. Same with a lone woman (especially a tourist) walking on the streets after midnight. Sucks, I know. But that's the world I live in, where the wee hours are for sleeping. I'm also curious whether she had traveling companions who also failed her... Or how many other times the victims never reported the touch up...? Guess we will never know but there not long down from the trees around here thats for sure.... She will be looked down upon for damaging Thailand's Famous International Taxi Driver reputation how dare she..... 1
