The original ultimatum to avert total destruction of Gaza was to release all captives. A proposal guaranteed to eventuate in Gaza oblivion. The latest offering does seem more rational as a step toward resolution except that the focus remains soley on Gaza and Hamas operatives while ignoring the more insidious progression of illegal appropriation in the occupied territories.
