Liverpool have barely been able to call upon their talisman at all in 2024, with his only appearances coming against Newcastle on New Year's Day and in a cameo off the bench against Brentford last month

Mohamed Salah is back in full training with Liverpool ahead of their potential title showdown with Manchester City on Sunday.

The Egyptian has only made two appearances for the Reds in 2024, scoring twice in the 4-2 win over Newcastle on New Year's Day and netting after coming off the bench in the 4-1 victory at Brentford on February 17.

It was after that game in west London that Salah suffered issues with the hamstring injury that ended his Africa Cup of Nations tournament in January, and he has been forced to watch on in recent weeks as Liverpool have won the Carabao Cup, progressed in the FA Cup and maintained their strong league form.

He could now be set for a return to the action in Thursday evening's Europa League last-16 clash with Sparta Prague in the Czech capital, having been pictured with his team-mates in a full session at Liverpool's Kirkby base on Wednesday.

Salah was being put through his paces alongside the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai and Darwin Nunez, who both returned from their respective injuries in last weekend's 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest, where Nunez scored a dramatic last-gasp winner.
