In the lead-up to the 2024 presidential campaign, former President Donald Trump's political orbit is witnessing a resurgence of sidelined figures from his past campaigns. Described by some of his top advisers as "crazies," these individuals are finding their way back into Trump's inner circle as he solidifies his position as the Republican nominee.

What's particularly striking about Trump's 2024 campaign is its notable departure from the controversial far-right figures who surrounded him in previous years. However, as Trump doubles down on his rhetoric and embraces his most ardent supporters, sidelined characters from his past are reemerging and seeking to reattach themselves to his campaign.

In recent weeks, several loyalists have made moves to rejoin Trump's team or have increased their presence at Mar-a-Lago, his Florida resort. Among them are Paul Manafort and Corey Lewandowski, both key figures from Trump's 2016 campaign. Despite their respective legal and personal controversies, talks are underway to bring them back into the fold.

Manafort, who served time in prison for financial crimes before being released due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Lewandowski, who faced allegations of inappropriate behavior, are among the returning figures. Additionally, Roger Stone, a longtime confidant of Trump convicted of obstructing a congressional probe, has been a frequent presence at Mar-a-Lago and has offered his input on campaign matters.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has also made controversial hires, including Christina Bobb, a far-right lawyer and former One America News (OAN) anchor known for promoting false claims about the 2020 election. Her appointment as senior counsel for "election integrity" underscores Trump's continued focus on challenging the legitimacy of the electoral process.

Despite efforts by Trump's campaign advisers to distance themselves from certain far-right personalities, the allure of these figures persists. Trump's inclination to maintain close ties with them, often without consulting his advisers, poses challenges for his inner circle as they navigate the delicate balance between Trump's instincts and strategic considerations.

As the 2024 campaign unfolds, Trump's team faces the task of managing relationships with these controversial figures while projecting a professional and sophisticated image. While some may view these individuals as liabilities, others see them as assets in Trump's quest for victory.

In the words of Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung, the team surrounding the former president is comprised of "killers" dedicated to implementing his game plan effectively. As Trump's campaign gathers momentum, the dynamics between his inner circle and these sidelined characters will continue to shape the political landscape in the run-up to the election.

Alternatively Trump really is a fraudster.

All politicians are fraudsters

Vote for the one you believe is less of a fraud.

Is that an early manifestation of the "We was robbed" campaign?

Absolutely.  E.g. the whole Arizona clown college is tripling down on 2020.  Arizona has been Bannon's forefront for undermining the electoral process all along, so it is not really a surprise.  As DT did in 2016, and again in 2020, he's already predicting the 2024 election will be stolen before it even happens.  They really should have taken him to task in 2016 after the tallies were in and asked him about his knowledge as to how the rigging was done.  Anyone who thinks that if he loses in November that he will just fade off quietly is really really stupid.

Now wouldn't it be  hoot if a certain spray-tanned politician were to receive an award from some ultra-liberal human rights organization for hiring so many convicted criminals and giving them "another chance"?

Birds of a feather flock together!

Since his campaign is plumbing the depths of bigotry, racism and xenophobia in American society it is hardly surprising inevitable that creatures such as this will be clamouring on board!
