27-Year-Old Woman Falls to Her Death from 5th Floor Flat in Huai Khwang
Picture from responders. Authorities have reported an incident on December 26, in the Huai Khwang area of Bangkok, where a 27-year-old woman fell from the 5th floor of a residential flat. Huai Khwang Police Station was alerted to the incident and coordinated with the Poh Teck Tung Foundation rescue team and the Phra Mongkutklao Hospital emergency unit to attend the scene. The victim, identified as Ms. Supansa, was found lying face down on the ground beneath the five-story building. She was dressed in blue-patterned trousers and a white T-shirt. Despite her critical condition, rescue workers performed CPR for 20 minutes in an attempt to save her life. Tragically, their efforts were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. A relative of the victim, who is her uncle, revealed that she usually lived with her boyfriend in the Din Daeng area and rarely visited him unless she needed money or had disputes with her partner. She had arrived at his residence on Sunday, only days before the incident. The uncle explained that, earlier in the evening, he had returned home from work and noticed her standing on the balcony of the 5th floor. There were no apparent signs of distress or unusual behaviour at the time. Eyewitnesses reported that they saw the victim attempting to climb onto the balcony railing. Tragically, she appeared to lose her balance and fell backwards to the ground below. Witnesses described the scene as shocking and distressing. Police are currently questioning witnesses and have enlisted forensic experts to examine the scene for further evidence to determine the exact cause of the fall and if this was accidental, foul play or suicide. If you or anyone you know is in emotional distress, please contact the Samaritans of Thailand 24-hour hotline: 02 713 6791 (English), 02 713 6793 (Thai) or the Thai Mental Health Hotline at 1323 (Thai). Please also contact your friends or relatives at this time if you have feelings of loneliness, stress or depression. Seek help. -- 2024-12-27 -

Is it starting?
It's part of Russian life. The rich and influential get to go to Thailand. The peasants get to go to the Ukrainian front. You're obviously interacting with the rich and influential who really don't care about the peasants. After the initial invasion there were interviews with Russian soldiers that couldn't believe the Ukrainian farmers had running water and toilets in their houses... They had none of that back home. -

Tourist Mini Train Derails in Nakhon Ratchasima: 8 Injured
oh dear Georgealbert, those tiny trains traveling at such speed can be quite dangerous. It looks like they need more support gravel stone and new sleepers under part of the track where the de-railment occurred. Luckily, the injuries were minor, but crikey ! those kids will think twice about getting on any mini tourist train again. -
