Drill baby, drill.  Don't sell your souls to the Western devils unless you want to end up like Gaddafi et al.

All the money will eventually go to corrupted officials...

They will end up building a wooden plant with what is left 😄

Between Thailand preparing for nuclear power plants (engineers anyone?) and Oz preparing for building, manning & running its own nuclear-powered submarines in the 2040s, I'm not sure where the worst risks lie.

Thailand already has a small research  and medical elements  reactor at Ongerak for over 40 years ,, its been the source of radio active  Bhudda amulets that killed at least 19 people in the 1990s when the waste uranium / plutonium was sold to Bangkok scrap dealers  as Platinum ,,, caused a real scare back then .....

Just the announcement of plans will create boom for amulet makers.

If one day plans are getting close to being materialized, there will be a major bubble in the amulet market.

Just hope quality of them indeed will be good.  The good news for plant builders is that they can save on cement and safety systems vs western countries.

Nothing scares me more than knowing Thai's might try running a Nuclear Power plant.

No need to worry. China will built the plant for them.

But no one will sell them a reactor. Maybe it will get lost in translation and they will spend the budget on tractors.

Cost 600 trillion, 400 trillion to the chinese builders. Will never be able to be paid back.

Well it's close enough to the  1st April. :giggle:

Ps, I do believe they have a small reactor at some university in Thailand for many years now.

world bodies need to step in and either stop or deny this. nothing but good will come of thailand and nuclear power.

A simple equation:  Thais + nuclear power = DISASTER

Just like France, let's put it as far away as possible. I suggest the Golden triangle.

To be fair,  France has a lot of them, 56 reactors and more being built, some central like Belleville.
