In a recent release by Tasteatlas, a renowned global food website, Thailand’s culinary prowess has been recognised once again. Three of the nation’s iconic dishes – phat kaphrao, khao soi, and phanaeng curry – have carved their place among the top 10 in the world’s one hundred best dishes list.

3 okay dishes, often have them

I wonder what the rest of the dishes in the list were?

And where the meatloaf I made yesterday ranked.

Is' Khao soi ' not simply steamed white rice?

Slow cooker khao soi with crispy noodles recipe

Phat kahrao is a staple with me, but I don't know if I'd classify it as anything particularly special.

Agree with kai dow mai soop I hope. Delicious meal and I like it best for breakfast. But sure there's nothing that special about it and the variations and quality are quite variable.

Suay not soi

As in attractive or beautiful?

So I guess it is not 'soi' as in street rice either!

They have no idea what they are talking about.

All these dishes are flavored with a sauce from a mini-mart Super Cheap store, that contains 20% of 'refined sugar', that is considered as a 'slow acting poison', and some refined sugar is more that often added to make sure that the meal tastes good. Super Cheap is actually the 'Chef', the one who makes the sauce.

The real problem is that Thai people eat this kind of food 2 or 3 times a day. Most dishes are laced with refined sugar.

One could argue that eating this kind of dish, once in a blue moon, might be ok.

But in Thailand, it is like eating a whole chocolate bar after every meal, and boasting about how good it tastes.

It is simply 'poison'. Slow acting....

Maybe they should have your favorite dish on the top 10, Mc Donald's.

No it is not.

The name may be from a Malay word but the curry is Thai.
