An incident on Bangkok's busy streets involving a drunk driver highlighted the risk of driving under the influence. The driver unknowingly proceeded with a missing tyre, causing sparks from the wheel rim. A vigilant taxi driver, Phasda Phutabanak, observed this dangerous situation during his late-night shift.

Phasda saw the vehicle with its sparking rim and decided to intervene despite being unwell. He approached the drunk driver, who unsuspectingly continued driving. The condition of the vehicle posed threats of potential fires and further damage.

The intoxicated driver complied with Phasda's advice to park the car at a nearby petrol station. He mistook Phasda for a station attendant and attempted to refuel the car, presenting further risks. Phasda quickly stopped him and tried to connect with the driver's family. However, the driver had lost his phone and had no luck reaching his family due to the late hour.

Phasda then called the emergency services and the police to manage the situation better, ensuring the driver's safety and dealing with the inflicted damages. The driver, on questioning, admitted to having collided with a glass object and planned to inflate the missing tyre.

Phasda’s intervention potentially prevented a disastrous event from occurring in the busy area. He later shared the footage on the internet, not for personal recognition but to warn against drunk driving.

No, you're not, you're making that up, the car was not reported as being on fire.
