The paymaster has no respect for doing things through the appropriate channels, he thinks he can do as he pleases.

And little doubt the folks up above have no concern - after all it's thaksin the god.

I thought Thaksin was pretty well on his death-bed.  Now - miraculously - he is mediating talks with Burmese rebel groups in Thailand's name without the prime minister knowing that Thaksin is now the de-facto "ambassador" for rebel affairs between Thailand and non-government ethnic groups in Myanmar.

Amazing recovery.  Amazing Thailand.  Simply amazing!

Plenty of ex leaders do this sort of thing, comes with the ego. Aussie, Keating embarrassingly with the Chinese foreign minister recently. Trump, Clinton, Blair, Boris J, all guilty.

And never saw Thaksin as acting in Thailand's name, just as Keating's meeting wasn't on behalf of Australia.

For reference: Asean's 5 point consensus

On April 24, 2021, the leaders of nine ASEAN member states and Myanmar junta chief, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, agreed to the following five points:

an immediate end to violence in the country;

dialogue among all parties;

the appointment of a special envoy;

humanitarian assistance by ASEAN;

and the special envoy’s visit to Myanmar to meet with all parties.

 from the start, it was “thoroughly clear that Min Aung Hlaing (Burmese Junta Chief)) was insincere in signing it and had no intention of following it.”

Let's get this straight. An ex P.M. who was democratically elected but ousted by a military coup meets members of anti junta groups in a neighbouring country which has been taken over by the military.

Yet, posters on here use this meeting as an excuse to kick said ex P.M. yet no critique of the junta.

Says it all about the sad Mr T obsessives dunnit?

Just say you don't wanna talk about it, it's more honest and doesn't portray you as an ignorant puppet.

No, he should just say it doesn't concern me, I'm not the real prime minister anyway.

He doesn't think he can, he knows he can.

His Chinese gangster clan is firmly back in control, and there's nothing anyone else can do about it.
