How is your weekend going?

Mine is awful obviously.  After a 14 hour day at work yesterday I am now doing some work at home on the weekend.  Now a person in the village has decided to fire a starting pistol at random intervals.  I can only assume he scaring away the birds from his vegetable patch.  Another freak is grinding sheet metal.  My girlfriend decided to bring the fish tank inside because it might reduce the algae.  So now I have constant Japanese water torture.  Splashing water 24/7.  I could spend years explaining that the water is not fresh it doesn't matter how many pumps or blue dye you put in the tank the water is not fresh it doesn't matter where the tank is the water is not fresh.

How about you?  How is your weekend going?

I did Qi Gong and the gym 2 days in a row, one after another. The Qi Gong def revs me up for the weights, but a lie-down afterwards is necessary. I read 2 self-published books by a guy who floats down

I  ate a huge pastry from Eric Keyser French bakery (buy one, get one free after 6pm) and had two cups of carefully brewed Mondulkiri 100% arabica coffee with sweet milk. I have Fridays nights Fox News on (Gutfeld is hysterical) and I fired up some Greasy Runtz ($6 a gram here in Siem Reap). I also just blew out a huge satsifying dump from the fab burrito I had last night.

I did my laundry so it is drying in the sun as I overlook the City Of Siem Reap from my 5th floor rooftop. I watered the orchids. Now Im going to finish charging my phones and shower in my tiled shower room with scented bodywash, then head out with a bag of doobies to go find backpacker girls in bikinis in the various pools around town. The maid came by to tidy up too so my weekend is ready!

better than yours, it seems.

Just back from a Dubai/Bahrain trip to visit my sons. Great, but very expensive. Got back with my Duty Free jaegermeister. Woke up yesterday morning with a whooping cough, sore throat and runny nose. Took a Covid test just in case. Negative.

However, the weekend does not finish until after the last Premiership Matches on Sunday.

Mine wasn't so special until I just read that. Now things couldn't be better. Thank you for that satisfying gem.

Went out last night with a pal for an Indian curry and a few beers. Got up at 5:30am and was out cycling 20km with a friend to a local lake and back, weather was great. Had a banana smoothie and a hot latte on the way back. Lunch was a pepper ham sandwich with a wine cooler, watched some TV (sugar).

Great weekend so far .........

Pics or it didn't happen.......

A tad immobile due to minor foot surgery, binge-watching "Justified".

Waiting for a big bag of sports to start with at 5 am (if I'm correct) Gipsy Kings fight.

Up at 6am as usual, turn on Ch34 news to check the mayhem happening in Thailand. Couple of cups of coffee, round of toast, w end off from the gym. Did the Samoeng Loop 90km on my Z650, then Green's shop at Hang Dong (Chiang Mai).

Mince and Onion pies, Cumberland sausage and 2 tins of Hot Dog sausages. Sandwich for lunch, bit of tidying up. Out for a few scoops tonight.

Great series!!!!

The noise in Thailand used to drive me around the bend. I don't know what has changed, maybe the noise has gotten less, or maybe I have subconsciously learned to screen it out better. What I did do was to buy one of those cooler things for about 5000 baht and which don't really do much cooling but the put out a lot of white noise. I put it on at night and can't hear the barking dogs, idiots on big bikes, idiots on small bikes with modified exhausts, music from parties or bars in the village.....it works a treat.

Have you thought about moving to a quieter location....?  🤔

Can you recommend a good Indian restaurant for when I am in Chiang Mai next month? I do recall you previously mentioning that one on Loy Kroh Road was pretty good. Is it the one on the other side of the road from the bar complex, up near the night market? (Think you cross a very small bridge just before you get there, name of the restaurant escapes me).

Frankly pretty shight here in the UK lol

3 BMWs between us 2 that I own and all 3 have developed faults in the last few days !

German goddam shight 😁

Sat here with one of my lads trying to get the code reader to do its job !

I'm laying in the sofa doing social media postings, raining outside right now. Listening to Pink Floyd in concert. Life is good!

I've been to this one it's pretty good, it's on Loy Kroh Rd.

Cheers - I'll give it a try. Few beers at the Hangout bar then a curry.

I agree that life is good here but "Pink Floyd"?

I didn't even realize it's the weekend. Haven't punched a clock in over 3 years, so no reason to pay attention.

Forget the pics. We need 360 action cam footage from the camera floating in the bowl looking up. Tour de force!

Watched the kids clean the house this morning, their weekly chore !, 19 year old girl taking great pride in sweeping and dusting the house to the best of her ability, 16 year old boy seeing how little he could get away with !!

Little lady decided she wanted to go to Rong Kluea market in Saraburi, off we went on a 1 hour drive, luckily I like driving here ( seriously ).

Had lunch , I had a wonderful shrimp and garlic spaghetti, little lady had a pad krapow moo and the predictable kids some Naamtok soup.

The market was like a sauna !! and nothing different from our local ( Navanakorn ) Rong Kluea, had a brief visit.

Decided to visit a temple on a hill we spotted nearby ( Wat Phra Phutthachai ). Some good cardio walking up the steps and some great views from the top.

Fed some of the most docile monkeys i have ever seen with some of the most overpriced corn i have ever paid for ( that’ll teach me to be foreign !! ).

Drove back home to some great Spotify music selections , little lady and kids slept through some of the best music the 1970’s has to offer !!.

Not earth shatteringly exciting or mind numbingly dull but very pleasant.
