Thai drug addict arrested after brutally assaulting 3 month old baby

Police arrested a Thai drug addict for brutally assaulting a three month old baby in the Isaan province of Khon Kaen, leaving the infant in critical condition.

The infant, Captain, was admitted to Srinakarin Hospital on May 26 with severe injuries, including bite marks on his nipples, a depressed skull, and multiple bruises. He is currently on a respirator and remains under close medical care.

Captain’s grandmother, Aoy, told Nam Phong Police Station officers that a drug-addicted Thai man, 30 year old Bird, was the attacker. Bird was a friend of the infant’s father who had been staying with the family due to unemployment.

According to Aoy, the incident happened when Captain’s mother was out and he was sleeping with his father. When the baby cried, the father, who was in a deep sleep, did not respond.

Bird, annoyed by the crying, took Captain outside and brutally abused him, biting his nipples, squeezing his face, and beating him.

Captain’s father woke up to see Bird dipping the baby in a water tank and rushed to intervene. Bird claimed he was just playing with the baby and immediately left the scene to take methamphetamine, also known as Yaba.

The family reported the incident to the police, leading to Bird’s arrest on the same day. However, they are concerned that Bird will be released as he claims he has worked as a spy for several corrupt police officers.

Aoy expressed her disappointment, stating that Bird had been staying at their home for free and never helped with chores. She had warned Captain’s parents not to help Bird, as his drug addiction could endanger Captain and other family members, but her warnings were ignored.

Captain’s grandfather, Paijit, told Channel 7 that he has been unable to face Bird since the incident due to his anger. He hopes the police will give him a proper punishment and not simply release him, as is often the case with other drug addicts.

Well we will never know that. Bird should do a lot of bird.

This is another case where the police should just hand him over to relatives of the poor little kid, and let them sort out the punishment....
