How about if you've worked in Thailand for a while beforehand & the 800k funds have been earned here, sitting in a local bank account for a number of years with no overseas transfer.

In this case is your only option to apply for the Non 0 visa out of country?

If the funds have been in Thai bank account in your name only for "some time" then proof funds came from abroad should not be required.

My Mate did the same thing by dropping below 800k in month 2 and below 400k after that. He put 800k back in 2 months before appliation and paid an agent in Pattaya 12,500 to renew next time, no proble

hmm, so the "state pension" isn't required if one shows the adequate savings deposit in a US bank?

2- last couple long stays I'm just doing TR60 with 30 day extensions.  Does one get stamped in for 90 days on the Non-O ?

is it more difficult to obtain than a TR60 say from the Los Angelas Consulate (my designated consulate).

3- if it is 90 days, maximum, from outside Thailand, how long is it from inside Thailand, if one is doing this in preparation for a 1 year extension of stay?

how long is the permission to stay if one converts to a Non-Imm O  at Chang Wattana?

That will work.

Here is thread that explains the process. Also contains links.

Do you have Thai bank account in your name only?

The OP says visa on arrival, did you check his nationality?

you seem very quick to give half answers without knowing facts

First up the guy I replied to is not the OP.

Secondly in previous post from him earlier he is from UK..

His "visa on arrival" is just incorrect term. He meant visa exempt.

Try to offer advice to OP.
