If Joe Biden could see the light that 4 more years is statistically a step too far that would be good but I still prefer him in a chair with a blanket on his knee with smart people with good judgement around him.

It doesn't matter who's idea it was. Isn't the deal to try and do the right thing for the country and stop all of this "you're copying me" or "that's a Dem policy" or "That's what GOP was saying all along" bullcrap?

 

Turn the tables around, if one of Trump's policies didn't contain at least one of the words / phrases "bigliest", "I", "me", "terrible", "everyone's saying" or "covfefe" then he probably didn't write it himself. Would that mean you disagreed with the policy regardless of what the policy actually stated?

In that case - Howdy Doody For President (or some other marionette or sock puppet - like Lamb Chop For Vice President!) Why not - Biden doesn't pull his own strings and I'd argue that neither will Trump 2.0.  Anyway, the last three years of a Biden presidency will be right out of a Weekend At Biden's Bernie's 2.0 reboot script sans the humor if he's put into office for a second term.

I'm 72 and if I was given the POTUS on a platter I'd turn it down and argue that it should be given to someone 10 years younger, and who is in excellent health and mentally sharp.  This US perchance of placing geriatric basket-cases into positions of power has never sat right with me.  It's time to hand the reins of power over to our children and grandchildren's generations.  I'd like to see Millennials and even Gen-Zs running for offices at the grassroots level and I'd like to see Millennials and Gen-X running our government in Congress.  I'd like to see Boomers like myself put out to pasture or limited to advisory roles.  Doddering 80+ year old presidents simply make the US look weak and feeble as well as the laughing stock on the world stage.

Of course it was not him alone. Biden is a team player, consensus seeker and a listener to his advisers to made any decision on issuing executive orders. Those attributes made him a good leader and an effective President. Wide contrast with the egotistical and narcissistical Trump who likes to dominate decision making. His executive orders were often toothless, inadequate and unimplementable.
