They have to be registered according to the last news I heard, and you'll need a License to ride one, so be careful who you rent from.

There is a reason you don't see people riding bicycles or scooters in Pattaya. Probably because most don't want to die before their time.

I believe the USA guys refer to a step through motorcycle as a scooter. There are also the Lambretta types were known as scooters.
