A US based (youngish) Urologist has prescribed me 2.5mg Cialis twice a day.  Yes, I was skeptacle as well, as Cialis is designed for ED but after taking the big three tamosolin, artrovat, finesteride, for a few years..........went to him and he prescribed 2.5 Cialis twice a day,,,,,,,,,,,after 3 or 4 months now, I no longer get up in middle of the night, last exam prostrate has shrunk, and bladder is emptying normally.  He killed two birds with one stone...........Now he is considering a Water Vapor Therapy called Rezum, I believe it was developed in Germany.

There is no restriction for treatment (except probably not gover implsnts such ss used in Utolift) but you are restricted to your registered hodpital snd highly unlikrly this offers othrr thsn conventional TURP.

This is interesting! I am currently on  Duodart which I dislike. I am going to ask my urologist about replacing Duodart with Cialis. The cost of Duodart may be comparable to Cialis. Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge, generic tadalafil pills are not available in Thailand.

I am on prostasin 2, 1 at night and ucholine 10, 1 in the morning, has worked great for 6 months but now starting to have to go pee more often especially at night so seriusly have to look at what comes next, do I need to up my dosage or change it or do I need to have the op.

Be  carefull,of Adovarte DUSTERIDE side effects. It stopped my husband sleeping for 2 years, he became so weak and hardly closed his eyes. I researched Adovart Dusteride and found many Forums of people experiencing the exact same problems. The first day he got off this drug he slept 14 hours straight. It took  6 months to clear this drug out of his system. His PSA is now 2 and he takes 1 Havasu Saw Palmetto a day.

It is intended to be a permanent solution. Follow up data at this point is for only 5 years as the device is new. 5 year results are favorable.

If you have no problems and your prostate has shrunk why let your urologist consider rezum?

I am two years in to the Tamsulosin and Finasteride  regimen which generally seems to work as intended. But have also recently noted some related advocacy for pumpkin seeds and tomato extract. Am now interested in an attempt to clarify issues about potential contraindications.

Thanks to everyone who has responded to my post.I have decided to try sametto from i.herb..[just sent my order.]

I hope it is better for me than the 2+ years of side effects I have been getting from taking Dutasteride [brought from UK.]

I have decided against surgery .

As an aside, anyone taking regular medicine ...Check out 'Medisafe'...they are on ,'Line'..

I too have side effects from Dutasteride ..I have ordered some saw Palmetto.and hope for similar effects as your husband.

Thank you for this, Sheryl.  I was advised that the key 5 year underlying evidence is from a manufacturer affiliated study putting a question mark over its reliability.  Moroeover, even this is just a single study and only 5 years.  So I was advised that if one views this over a longer period, like 10+ years, one will most likely need a conventional operation on top of this as the prostate just continutes to grow over the Urolift implants with a later operation at older age being much more dangerous.  The "EAU Guidelines on Non-Neurogenic Male Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS)" in their current, i.e. 2024, edition concluded as follows in view of the totality of the evidence currently available:
