A devastating altercation involving a group of teenagers in Bangna, a district on the outskirts of Bangkok, tragically ended with two deaths and multiple injuries late last night. This violent clash underscores a worrying trend of youth violence in the area, shaking the local community to its core.

The incident unfolded in Udomsuk 26 alley when an argument between two groups of teens escalated into a deadly confrontation. Authorities were alerted to the scene shortly after midnight, arriving to find a harrowing sight.

Among the victims were Kittisak, 16, found deceased with severe head trauma, believed to have been caused by a heavy, blood-stained rock found nearby. Not far from this scene, Nopnai, 15, was also discovered dead, having sustained multiple stab wounds.

A third victim, 16-year-old Payu, suffered a stab wound but survived and was rushed to Bangplee Hospital, where he currently remains in stable condition.

Preliminary police reports suggest that the deadly encounter was sparked by a heated exchange involving accusations of inappropriate interactions with a girlfriend. This quickly escalated as both factions were allegedly armed and ready for a fight, leading to the fatal outcomes.

In response to the tragedy, local law enforcement swiftly apprehended seven teenagers involved in the incident, including the injured Payu. They face serious charges, with investigations ongoing to unravel the full scope of this tragic event.

The suspects were reportedly former schoolmates known to have ongoing disputes, often fueled by social media provocations, depicting a deep-seated rivalry that unfortunately turned violent.

This incident highlights significant issues within the community concerning youth engagement and violence, prompting calls for increased policing and community-based interventions to prevent such tragedies in the future.

Authorities are now working closely with families and community leaders to address these challenges and restore peace to the shaken neighborhood.

Pretty much and worse of what going on in Australia at the moment where bunch of teens, girls and boys, are

on a daily basis hijacking, robing, shooting involved in high speed chase with the police with fatalities only

to be apprehended and released on bail few how hours later again and again, many with prior offences and the

judicial system and the police are clueless and powerless as how to put an end to this mayhem..

well,  the laws need changing and that's the governments job.

The cops should be given greater powers when dealing with Teen's ...

The laws need to get tougher on juveniles, teen's, gangs etc ... first offence, fine and community service, in jail for a couple of days,  second offence .. jail time.

At after midnight they should be in bed asleep. Parents really don't care about their kids here, do they. No discipline, no rules. That's all too much trouble.

There is so much violence in this country. These murders took place very close to where I used to live, and not far from where a motorcycle taxi gang were also involved in a deadly clash. I moved up-country, and the director of my nephew's nearby school was murdered by his wife as she thought he was having an affair. He wasn't. A man from the next village returned home to hide after murdering someone in the south. A woman in the next village recently murdered her husband. A man in a neighbouring village murdered a kid, shot him dead, for taking apples from his tree.

Land of smiles, my a***.

land of many things but it sure as hell ain't smiles that's for damn sure    !

Second paragraph. Maybe you didn't read that far. Glad to assist.

If you want to be sarcastic then better to check what you're reading first.

This will never cease as Thais couldn't give a rats ass what their kids get up to when they should be in bed preparing for school next day.

If in fact they 15-16  haven't 'Dropped out' by then.

All societies are going with the dogs.
This is an international issue.

TiT is just joining the bandwagons as they do about anything.
All this peddled "traditional" culture circus has only an advantage for the rich dinosaurs, their families, and circles, and still a purpose for older people.
The young people of the not-so-well-situated parts of this late-middle-age, caste-society system of the pre-last century,
are getting lost.
The young people of the "elites" see themselves as "princes". Many of them are pathetic prxxks
and sometimes are also involved in "events" like this.
With the permission "Do you know who my father is?"
But frankly, who cares about it?

No gun this time .. just a rock.

uneducated clowns ...    very sad that the deceased were only 15 & 16 -   their life taken over stupid gang manipulation.

at that age they should be either out playing football or at home doing their homework.

I blame the irresponsible parents ....

A smart comment from a member of the "Helicopter" parents corner?
Playing football? Doing homework?

Do you know, that TiT pupils are under custody of the schools from 7:30 AM, until 5 PM, 5 days, sometimes 6 days a week?
An getting "homework" every day, and even on the weekends?

And, you're blaming the parents, in whatever individual economic situation they might be?

It's a structural problem, of an ancient, outdated, messed-up education system, run by,
in many cases, incapable personnel and teacher "authorities", to whom the parents need to bend down in "respect".
Due to an artificially elevated "social" status, a stupid uniform, in a "frozen" society model.

what are you babbling on about ...     it's the parents responsibility to raise their kids so they know right from wrong,   not sit next door sucking on the Lao Khao every night.

Joe Biden is "babbling"!

I didn't give the parents a free go. I just gave you a glimpse of what can be considered in the whole context.

This kind of response underscores again, the educational level of many "aliens" roaming, where ever, or under whatever stone, in TiT.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Your "stone" might be situated, where to "sit next door sucking on the Lao Khao every night" seems to be more common,
as in other places.
"Expats" prefer to share barstools with sympathizers in other areas and venues, "sucking" anything else, as "Lao Khao". Lol.

Btw, which "responsibilities" you've undertaken in TiT, to speak out so loud, about local "parents"?
Besides those repeating, statuary requirements for roaming in TiT?

Because many teacher "authorities" give a sxit about their job.
It's as simple as that!

As long, as they don't attract you, there's no need to worry about the symptoms of what I said before.
In the end, It's not an "expat" business at all.

The fall-out you get with a nation in turmoil.

Thailand is failing on many fronts

As well as economic issues, it's failing to adapt to societal changes brought about by social media.

I wonder if anyone will ever do anything to address it, or if the risk of losing face or upsetting people is so great that the youth will just be left to get on with it.
