Firstly there is no proof the bullseye comment was motivation for the attempted assassination. IMO due to Biden not making as many misinformation, misinformation and lies as trump, remember trump has a very significant track record and therefore more content to report upon e.g. 30 lies in the recent 90 minute debate. From what has been revealed so far the shooter:

 

Was a white male

Was a gun enthusiast

Was a registered Republican

Was In a low-paid job

Did not have a four-year college degree

Was not an immigrant

 

In other words, he fits the profile of a rank-and-file Trump supporter and may have been filled with resentment over being bullied as a teen.

 

Mental health and access to firearms may well turn out to be the real issues here.
