I don't know how may people here on this thread are living in the States. I live in Florida. I can tell you, food prices are at all time highs. For example a little Walmart pie that sold for .49 cents for years is now .89. That is 45% and it's just one example.

Crime and drugs are rampant, even here in FL where you actually go to jail and do time if you get caught. The job market is not great. I'm lucky to be an IT person but lower jobs are becoming more and more rare and pay less and less. It's not hard to guess why.

A few last minute changes (like forcing out the incumbent against the wishes of the voters!) will not fix anything.

At the end of the day, the program is, give tax money from people who have it to people who don't and take a huge slice for Govt graft, theft and incompetence. Giving money to people who did not earn it will not increase anyone's standard of living. It just makes them lazier and the givers more divisive.  It really is that simple. All the other issues are decoys. I've been around the world many times and it has shown me that if you can't make money here, there is no where you will be successful.

A wolrd wide phenomen. A pie was a good example thow

Donald Trump told a crowd gathered in West Palm Beach on Friday that if elected for a second term, they “won't have to vote anymore.”

Interesting but not surprising

repeating his usual unfounded claims about mail-in voting, Trump launched into an appeal directed at Christian voters. “Christians, get out and vote!” yelled Trump. “Just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years. You know what? It’ll be fixed! It’ll be fine! You won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians. I love you, Christians!” He added, “You gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.”

Good luck America

Trump needs to give up the nomination. The US needs something better than this. Trump needs to move his fat butt to the sidelines permanently. I think there will be a landslide vote against him. Americans were exhausted from just hearing him speak in 2020. The prospect of bringing him back for another four years means I would need to put political news stories on mute.

And don't forget! Save the US dollar! Trump will devalue it and make expat lives impoverished.

Trump has been found guilty by a jury, but he is not a convicted felon until after he has been sentenced. Joe Biden was lying every time he called him that.

That's absolutely incorrect. The definition of "to convict" is:

"declare (someone) to be guilty of a criminal offence by the verdict of a jury or the decision of a judge in a court of law." (Oxford Dictionary)

As a jury found him guilty of 34 felony counts, he is most indubitably a convicted felon.

It is your position that New York State law is based on the Oxford dictionary?

Does Trump plan on devaluing the dollar even more than Biden has?

Wow, you can cut and paste, and without credit, I'm impressed!

But yeah, I know about all the allegations from the left, so? Your "source" seems to be an organizarion dedicated to ruining a great American's life.

He has a rich friend. No one seems to mind when the others get gifts, only when it is strong, intelligent black man with a white wife that does not vote the way they like do the knives come out.

Which of his rulings can be shown to have benefited Harlan Crow directly?

You seem to be ignoring the fact that after ProPublica revealed these "allegations," Thomas went back and amended his declarations to show gifts from Crow that he had previously omitted.

So Thomas himself has confirmed that he received the gifts.

As for others getting gifts, no other justice has received anywhere near the amount that Thomas has.

You've got that completely backwards. The dictionary definitions (and it's not just the Oxford Dictionary) are based on the legal definitions used in courts everywhere - including in New York.

Because in New York as elsewhere, convicted means found guilty by a court proceeding.

The Cornell Law School (New York) definition says the same thing:

Conviction

From your link:

"If you are found guilty, after that is the sentencing phase. During the sentencing phase, the judge may determine you adjudicated guilty of the crime, which means you are convicted for that crime in a court of law. Adjudicated means the act of pronouncing or declaring by a judge."

"If the Judge withholds adjudication of guilt, it means you have not been formally found guilty of the crime and there is no conviction. It is possible to plea guilty to a crime but still receive a withhold of adjudication and thus, not be convicted of the crime. However, for punishment, the Judge can still order you to probation or other sanctions."

The "Chevron Deference" ruling for a start.

As the Houston Chronicle puts it:

Quote

Texas billionaire Harlan Crow certainly got his money’s worth from Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Supreme Court's Thomas delivers for Texan Harlan Crow

And you're wrong, no-one cares what colour his skin is, or his wife's - they care about the massive and undeclared (until he was found out) gifts that raise much more than simply the appearance of impropriety that all judges are supposed to avoid. Let alone Supreme Court justices.

Did he break any laws?

How does the "Chevron Deference" ruling directly benefit Harlan Crow?

So, he's friends with this rich guy for 30-40 years, their families vacation together and whatnot.  and waited until after he came under a microscope to help him?

Then when Thomas flies with Crow, "ProPublica" counts it as a gift with a value as if Thomas chartered the plane by himself.

You do not care if it true or not, all you care about is getting conservatives off the court.

The left wants to discredit and pack the court, that's what all this is about.

You are measuring the dollar against the Baht? It was in the 40-1 under Bush, and dropped to under 30 under Obama.

Pick any other that you want, but the question was "Will Trump devalue the dollar more than Biden?"

That is kinda strange. AFAIK, inflation was 1.4% when the Bad Orange Man left the White House, then jumped to over 9% under Biden. But I could be wrong... anyway most Democrats seem to think that campaigning on the wonders of Bidenomics is not a winner for this election.

Another problem is that Kamala, well, is not a very skilled politician. Biden was better, even Trump is better. She is not likeable and not warm, that was proven in her disastrous 2020 run at the White House. Her one great skill is that she is very very good at working the room of the insiders and power brokers of the Democratic Party. This is probably a result of her spending so long in the safe cocoon of California Democratic politics. Basically a uniparty state. As time goes by and she is exposed to the general public more and more, her weakness in this area will start to drag her down.

So why are the Trumpers all so concerned about her getting the nomination?  They should be jumping for joy but, strangely, they seem to be tearing their hair out, wailing, gnashing teeth and trying all sorts of tactics to get her barred from standing.

KInda strange indeed.

Typically, one would use the "Nominal Broad U.S. Dollar Index". Arguments can be made for a weak dollar, and for a strong dollar. I like a strong dollar. What do you think Trump will do to weaken the dollar?

Do you have a quote of JD calling Trump Hitler?

No, you don't. You are just regurgitating a lie you heard somewhere.
