The concerns of jewish communities around the world are valid. Those are mostly muslims roaming the streets and attacking people assumed to be visible jews. People are not Islamophobic to be concerned about the ongoing hate speech in mosques and "schools". Consider the uproar if my local church had preached for the extermination of muslims, as occurs at many mosques where jew hate is disseminated. Consider the uproar had my local church not taken in Syrian refugees and had instead argued for their extermination as many muslims now demand against Israelis.  The reality is that it has always been open season on jews. East Europeans were masters at it with Russian pogroms leading in the late 1800's.The Arab countries expelled their jewish populations who had been native for thousands of years. Egypt gave them 72 hours to leave 1956. Baghdad's streets ran red with the blood of its jewish community who were forced out post 1948.  Idi Amin expelled his Indian community with days notice. he seized all that they had.  His reward  was to live out his life in Saudi Arabia with his ill gotten wealth.  Europe's leftists took on the mantle of hate because their politics have always been predicated on blaming someone for their own misfortunes. Israelis and jews know that the only people who will protect them are other jews and Israelis.  We have seen what world assurances and claims of the need for civility achieved in Sierra leone, Liberia, Rwanda-Burundi, Cambodia,  and Bosnia.   There is an ongoing genocide of Black Africans in the Darfur  being carried out by muslim militias, but the UN has done nothing. Every week in Nigeria,  Christians are murdered and young women kidnapped by muslim Boko Harem, and  not a word of condemnation from the UN. Who protected the Yazidis from their rape and torture by  muslim jihadis in Iraq and Syria? So, no, I won't jump on the excuse wagon called "Islamophobia".

The vast majority of Muslims interpret their faith in a way that emphasizes peace and coexistence. The idea that Muslims preach violence against non-believers is a misconception held by a small minority of extremists. At least we know where you stand. 😞

Violence is sometimes committed in the name of religion, BUT these actions are the result of specific historical and political contexts rather than a reflection of the core teachings of those religions.

Only about 15 percent of the estimated 1.2 billion Muslims worldwide are Arab.

https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/muslims/etc/faqs.html

I could quote your holy book saying it tells you to kill  unbelievers, there are many !

here's just one.

2 Chronicles 15:13 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

13 That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

In fact, many Islamic teachings advocate for respect, compassion, and peaceful coexistence.

You go back to the 1800s, why not go back to the 1100 when Richard the Lionheart beheaded more than two thousand Muslim prisoners of war from the captured city beheaded in front of the Ayyubid armies of sultan Saladin on 20 August 1191.

You are a proponent of anti Israeli positions, comments and politically tinged opinions. As such, your comment must  be considered with that in mind.

Have you considered that like myself he has an issue with dropping great big bombs on women and children and killing thousands of them, cutting off aid, and destroying as much as possible of the Gaza infrastructure?

Nothing antisemitic in opposing actions regarded as war crimes. Being Jewish does not give anyone that does so a pass, and as the war crimes are being committed by the israelis, who else would we criticize?

The old "if you are against israel you are anti semitic" mantra doesn't work any more.

Throughout his speech, Netanyahu sought to reinforce the US-Israel alliance, calling for expedited US military aid to help Israel conclude the war faster. "Fast-tracking US military aid can dramatically expedite an end to the war in Gaza and help prevent a broader war in the Middle East," he said. He drew a parallel to Winston Churchill's appeal during World War II, saying, "Give us the tools and we’ll finish the job."

Unfortunate comparison. Churchill was unable to "finish the job" without American troops. I have no doubt netanyahu wants American troops fighting Iran, Syria, Iraq etc. Sadly, I think he may get his wish. Too many warmongers furiously applauding the war criminal in congress.

LOL. Look at who set up the UN and why, and you will understand why the UN is not fit for purpose.

IMO the biggest joke about the UN is that people still think it's important for "world peace" LOL.

The Arab League used the threat of expulsion of Jewish citizens of Arab countries to put pressure on U.N. members to vote against the partition of Mandatory Palestine.  On Nov. 27, 1947, five days before the partition vote, Egyptian delegate Heykal Pasha told the Political Committee of the U.N. General Assembly that:  “The United Nations ... should not lose sight of the fact that the proposed solution might endanger a million Jews living in the Moslem countries. ... If the United Nations decided to partition Palestine they might be responsible for very grave disorders and for the massacre of a large number of Jews."

When the U.N. voted in favor of partition, the Arab League members began expelling Jews.  The Arab League wrote a recommendation in the form of a draft law that stated all Jews were to be considered members of the Jewish state and their property and bank maccounts were to be confiscated.   About 850,000 Jews were kicked out of Arab countries, most of whom went to Israel.

Jews who suffered discrimination and brutality in certain Arab countries have legitimate claims; all forms of violence are equally unacceptable and must be acknowledged and condemned. At the same time, it must be noted that, contrary to Palestinian refugees, many of whom were expelled or fled in fear, a large percentage of Jews left out of a desire to join their “Eretz Yisrael” (Land of Israel).

Israeli foreign minister says approaching 'moment of an all-out war' against Hezbollah

-Rueters

Good - bring it.  It's past time to get to the end of this conflict and it's only going to end in a military defeat.

Let the games begin!

Stock tip for ya'll out there.  The Straits of Hormuz are going to close when this war begins.
Buy oil and gas stocks. Be like the wealthy.  Make money from war.

I doubt israel is going to have it as easy as the past invasions of Lebanon.

Israel has more to lose than men and vehicles. They could lose the Golan Heights and then they really are in trouble.

I'm surprised they are going to fight a war in Lebanon when thousands are committed to Gaza, but perhaps that was the reason for netanyahu's visit to the US- maybe US troops to fight in Lebanon and other ME countries, but not in Gaza.

Call me a dreamer, but I can't see that working out very well for the election.

The Nakba was arab initiated. It has aready been explained and documented so many times in these forums that the attacking arab nations told the local arabs to leave and that they would return just as soon as the arab armies had made Israel juden frei. That's where from the river to the sea chant originates: A demand for the mass murder of the people of Israel.

Even if you don't want to believe the historical facts, you use that event as a justification for the mass deportation and  persecution of nearly 1 million arab jews. Brilliant logic.  That position is not based upon legalities or morality.
