Do you still see girls in bars which you would consider as girlfriend/wife?
1 more, your just having midlife crisis. Normal. Just be wise. From all your postings I would think your GF is an amazing find. I bet she would be willing to do most things to improve your relationship if you asked. As far as dating sites and online, it was full of normal quality women before COVID. I wasn't looking for under 40 though. It did take lots of time and commitment to carry on conversations with 10-20 at a time during the weeding out process before a month or two visit. I'm sureany bar girl joined online during covid to survive and many enjoyed the freedom and no bar taking their share. The better looking probably had no reason to even consider going back to the bar. And new comers didn't need the bar anymore. Back before COVID lots of normal women over 40 just tired and done with this men. Many normal women spent to much time at work, and also not socially acceptable to go out to bars alone in their profession. Lots of friends on FB posting about great lives with farang, either living in Thailand or abroad. Most I met had no goal of leaving Thailand. Most had bad experiences with gambling, cheating, or drunk Thai husbands. Most had college degrees of not advanced. But I searched for that. Line video time let you see the movement as I know exactly what that means to you as it does to me. Didn't end up finding my wife online but it was very promising method in 2016-2019 -

Thailand to tax residents’ foreign income irrespective of remittance
Even after living here for years the vastness of the corruption still surprises me (even though it should not)... I think most expats have accepted things as they are...But I also think most expats have draw the line when it comes to the broken system meddling, and flip flopping around with their own personal financial affairs... -

How often do you check your aorta?
Narrower arteries (aorta the largest of the arteries in your body, first one coming out of the heart) equals higher blood pressure - the silent killer. But I am not a doctor so do not know all the various permutations of symptoms and what they mean. So get a check-up at a good hospital. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
True - but in most DTAs there is a Clause that states all non-Thai tax residents must be subjected to the same tax rules and tax benefits as Thais (Non Discrimination). I am not saying that Somchai in the local TRD Office will automatically accept that, but it is what is in the DTAs. -

Can you defend yourself?
one problem with self-defense is if you TOO good at it, you might kill the other person. then you still have to defend yourself in court that it was self-defense or you may be charged with manslaughter. -

Can you defend yourself?
I ended up facing someone like that last few months in UK...ended up chasing him through my local park at the end after a fight. There is no substitute for a dash of fury. -

Trump Backs Elon Musk's Plan to Slash Government Spending
It is questionable as to whether Trump, who during his presidency contributed massively to increasing the national debt, is the best person to attempt to begin addressing the problem. However he has raised the issue. And that is better than nothing. Currently, the only alternative candidate for the presidency proposes only doing what will massively increase the debt. By "money-printing". Which will be self-defeating, by massively increasing "inflation" [devaluation of the dollar]. Reining in an out-of-control debt whose rising interest payments will soon be the greatest item in the budget, requires a planned and multi-pronged strategy. Removal of unproductive and counter-productive employment from government payrolls and their channelling into jobs that provide useful goods and services is but one of many reforms required. Acceptance of being an integral partner in a global community, instead of a global dictator, will lead to massive reductions in foreign policy interventions and the need for 700 or so overseas military bases for so-called "defence". Also required is a devaluation of the dollar [i.e. "inflation"] which needs to be attempted on a conscious, controlled basis - rather than blindly induced. [if in doubt, see how Spain and Greece have been reducing their national debts] Hard decisions, and hardship lie ahead. Because of the soft option of "money-printing" that has been used to date. Which is leading to breakdown and total chaos. The challenges facing the U.S. are as much psychological - a re-thinking of 'solutions' that don't work - as practical. With the right approaches, the U.S. will be able to pass through a dark and difficult tunnel, to re-emerge into a bright future. It has the potential. It needs the will. -
