I guess their stroke of luck will continue... pun intended.

A Swedish pair received sacred tattoos on their hands in a traditional ceremony at the Wat Sawang Arom temple in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, for good fortune and success. They also prayed to Thao Wessuwan, a deity known for granting blessings and revealing lucky numbers.

The atmosphere was vibrant at the temple, located in the Khun Kaeo area of the Nakhon Chai Si district, as locals and visitors from abroad gathered for the sacred tattoo ceremony. It was led by Phra Khru Yatithammuniyut, the head monk of the temple who is affectionately known as Luang Phor Pae. The aim of the ceremony was to bestow blessings on attendees ahead of an upcoming lottery draw.

Luang Phor Pae used pink powder to etch the Open Sky, Open Earth, Open Underworld tattoo on the back of peoples' hands. This deep-rooted custom is believed to offer protection and safety. The monk's spiritual mentors, particularly the venerated hermit Phor Pu Reusi, are believed to provide safeguard to the participants.

Joining the ceremony were Thai locals and foreign visitors from Europe and Asia, all keen to receive the tattoos. Among them were 47-year-old Panisara Vanderroid, the proprietor of Like Siam Massage in Phuket, Thailand, alongside her 57-year-old Swedish husband, Chris Vanderroid.

Following the tattooing process, Luang Phor Pae conducted a ritual that involved dropping candle wax, and then tying blessed banknotes around the wrists of Panisara and her husband for good luck and prosperity. Panisara mentioned that they traveled from Phuket for the ceremony, spurred by their strong belief in its auspicious benefits. She said they often seek blessings for luck and success, especially for their family business, a Thai massage parlor.

In anticipation of good fortune, Panisara disclosed the serial numbers on their blessed banknotes. Her note ended with the digits 354, while Chris's 100-baht note concluded with 325.

After the ceremony, the couple showed respect to Thao Wessuwan, the deity of success and wealth, reinforcing their hopes for prosperity in their personal lives and business ventures.

the ink used might ... create a little thing as autoimmune, but who cares, right ?

for sheril, I paste this here...

Can a tattoo trigger autoimmune disease?

Sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disease that can affect the skin and other organs, sometimes first appears with bumps at the site of a tattoo, she says. Infections are more common within the first couple of days or weeks of getting a tattoo, Dr.

This woman has her sights set on snagging a Swedish passport, all so she can retire in style while he does all the work. It’s like she’s plotting a hilarious twist in a rom-com! Poor guy has no idea he’s about to trade in his nine-to-five for her beach hammock dreams. Reality check incoming!
